Patrick Cantlay carded rounds of 70-66-66-70 to wind up going 16-under-par with a T7 finish at the 2022 PGA Tour Championship.

Cantlay entered the weekend as the defending FedExCup champion but struggled to get his putter going, missing plenty of birdies to hold him out from making a legitimate run at first place on Sunday. Cantlay won the previous playoff event at Wilmington South CC during the BMW Championship event last weekend. It was his first solo win of the season but he defended his title at the second playoff event successfully.
