Rest of Season Accuracy FAQ – Fantasy Football

What scoring settings should I assume?
You can view our scoring settings here. Please note that the competition will use Half PPR scoring.

Where can I find information about the scoring methodology?
More details about the scoring methodology are available here.

How many players do I need to rank?
We encourage you to create deep rankings but also keep in mind that you’ll need to keep these rankings up-to-date. The absolute minimum requirements for our accuracy competition are displayed below. Note that asterisks are displayed below for positions that are not required for inclusion in the Overall accuracy results. This means you must rank at least the minimum number of players at QB, RB, WR and TE to qualify for the Overall accuracy competition.

  • QB: 25 players
  • RB: 50 players
  • WR: 60 players
  • TE: 20 players
  • K: 20 players*
  • DST: 20 teams*
  • LB: 40 players*
  • DB: 40 players*
  • DE: 40 players*

When do I need to submit my ROS rankings by?
We take a snapshot of each expert’s ROS rankings each Tuesday (weeks 2 through 16) at approximately 5pm ET. The timing is aimed to ensure that we’re evaluating rankings when they are particularly relevant to users for waiver wire claims and trade analysis.

How do I get my rankings to show up on my site?
You can use our cut/paste Widget Code to automatically publish your rankings on your site. All your future revisions will be automatically reflected on your site, which will save you a lot of time and effort. We also provide optional links that are hosted at FantasyPros.com if you’d prefer a faster way to share your rankings. The rankings on these links update automatically whenever you make changes.

How often do I need to update the rankings?
Even though the accuracy deadline is Tuesday (5pm ET) each week, our ROS ranker will not lock at that time. We encourage you to keep your rankings fresh in response to any notable news throughout the week. For an advice seeker, there’s nothing worse than seeing rankings that are obviously outdated. We’ve built rank tools and widgets so you can provide your readers with current advice at all times and there is significant demand for fresh Rest of Season rankings. If there is important news, you can make quick adjustments and publish via the ranker. We do recognize the hard work involved in keeping rankings current, so we’ll continue to create tools to help streamline your efforts.

When will the leaderboard/results be available?
Since each set of rankings has a season-long outlook (e.g. Week 2’s ROS rankings cover Weeks 2 through 17), we won’t have official results until after the season has concluded. This is similar to our Draft Accuracy assessment in that regard. However, we do plan to provide at least 1 check-in (e.g. after week 6) about how the leaderboard would be shaping up as of that particular point in the season.
