There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding this week’s results, and rightfully so. FanDuel’s rule of not including points from players that fall outside of the Sunday-Monday contest window impacted many contestants (due to the NFL’s postponement of the MIN/PHI game).
While warning messages about the policy were posted on FanDuel’s site, it’s clear that many contestants were not aware of the rules. This issue ran across all of FanDuel’s games (not just our FantasyPros contest), so they’ll be sending an email to all affected players with their resolution.
What I do know at this point is that all contest results will be paid out according to their existing policies and rules, which means zero points will be awarded for players in Tuesday night’s game. I know this might not be a popular decision, but I think it makes sense since some contestants were aware of the policy and took out PHI/MIN players from their lineups. If FanDuel were to make a change now, they would potentially punish the contestants that made changes because of the rules. We’re waiting to hear how they plan on “making good” with those of you that were affected by the postponed game. I think we should reserve final judgment on FanDuel until we hear the resolution.
Moving on to more positive news, over $2,500 worth of prizes will be awarded in Week 16, which brings our total to almost $10,000 in just a few weeks of running these contests. This week, congrats go out to Labonte44 for winning the top prize of $300. If you can believe it, he won despite getting zero points for DeSean Jackson. In addition to the Top 10 finishers, 78 of you beat all four of our Featured Pros, so you’ll be receiving the $20 “beat the experts” bonus. You’ll see that the FanDuel issue impacted all of our Featured Pros heavily – they all had players from tonight’s game in their lineups (including one expert that had 3 players!).
Here are the Top 10 Teams:
| 1 | labonte44 | 133.26 | $300 |
| 2 | saspur4life | 128.54 | $250 |
| 3 | __sloopy__ | 125.28 | $150 |
| 4 | goatie | 125.20 | $100 |
| 5 | kingcobweb | 124.48 | $50 |
| 6 | pudge | 124.46 | $40 |
| 7 | suckmyditkas | 122.28 | $35 |
| 8 | jchook | 120.88 | $30 |
| 9 | skatchennler | 119.28 | $25 |
| 10 | mullarks | 118.36 | $20 |
I don’t want to guess at how the results would change if the PHI/MIN player points were included, but I will mention again that all four of our Experts have players going in the Tuesday night game.
Here’s our winner’s lineup (note DeSean Jackson):

Andy Behrens (leemajors) from Yahoo (note PHI Defense):

John Paulsen (jpaul34) from The Scores Report (note Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson):

Sigmund Bloom from Football Guys (note Michael Vick, DeSean Jackson and PHI Defense):

David Dodds from Football Guys (note Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson):

As always, I’d like to thank all our Featured Pros and contestants for participating. While we had a blemish this week due to freak weather and an odd policy, we hope that everyone has had fun with this series of contests. For those of you that had players going in tonight’s game, we’ll hear more from FanDuel on Wednesday about their resolution to the issue.
Meanwhile, try to enjoy the Tuesday night game. Can you believe we’ve had 5 days of NFL action this week? My wife is about to go nuts!
