Week 12 was boom or bust for many fantasy owners. If you picked up Bryce Brown or Beanie Wells, you’re probably feeling pretty good about yourself right now. On the other hand, anyone who went all in on Ronnie Hillman is likely looking for a refund after the Denver RB touched the ball only 3 times on Sunday. Amazingly, that nets out to a decreased workload with Willis McGahee on the shelf.
Which experts made the best calls on these players? Who delivered the top advice for week 12? Read on to find out in this week’s expert accuracy recap.

Congrats to Maurile Tremblay (FootballGuys) for coming through with the most accurate rankings in week 12. Tremblay had the highest rated RB predictions, checking in with a lofty 75% PAY™ at the position. That effectively means listening to Tremblay’s advice would have netted fantasy owners 75% of available RB fantasy points. Not surprisingly, he had several of week 12’s top studs rated higher than the expert consensus: Bryce Brown, Beanie Wells & Knowshon Moreno. Tremblay also delivered a nice surprise hit by slotting (RB #36) Shane Vereen above all but 3 experts. That served as a solid flex recommendation for a player that finished the week as a top 5 RB. At WR, Tremblay gets credit for rolling the dice on a couple of sleepers that ended up as top 10 wideouts. His ranking (WR #30) for Chris Givens was 33 spots above the expert consensus while he also slotted (WR #35) Mohamed Sanu 24 spots ahead of the field. These picks helped to bolster Tremblay’s WR rating (#4 out of 100) and contributed to his #1 overall score for the week.

It hardly seems possible but the race for the title of Most Accurate Expert actually got tighter this week. With another top 15 performance, the Sablich Brothers (The New York Times) chopped off more than half of the gap between themselves and Jody Smith (Gridiron Experts). Smith is now clinging to a razor thin .1% lead in the competition. Of course, for Smith’s part, this is the 7th week in a row that he’s held down the #1 overall spot. Fending off the competition may seem like old hat at this point for him. With that said, this is the closest his lead has been in the past 7 weeks so it will certainly be interesting to see how the competition continues to take shape over the coming weeks.
That does it for this week’s accuracy recap. We’ll check back in next week to provide another update on the top experts. In the meantime, best of luck to everyone with your upcoming fantasy matchups.
