Best FanDuel Plays for Week 7

FanDuel_DFAC_Billboard

After 6 weeks, the top five experts are only separated by less than 10 points and the accuracy cup is heating up. Last week DeAndre Hopkins and Chris Ivory put their stamps on DFS winning lineups and naturally, the top finisher had them both. What does that mean for you?

Each week, we ask the top finishers from the competition to name the one player they’ll be including in all their lineups this weekend over at FanDuel. So whether you’re new to daily fantasy or are a grizzled veteran, it never hurts to get some advice from those who do this for a living to some degree.

James Hatfield – Hatty Waiver Wire Guru Todd Gurley RB $7,400 CLE
Terrance Bridgett – ProjectRoto Brandon Marshall WR $6,500 NE
Tozzi Brothers – Legion Report Todd Gurley RB $7,400 CLE
Jason Guilbault – Daily Fantasy Cafe Todd Gurley RB $7,400 CLE

Q. What player are you most likely to include in your FanDuel lineup for this weekend?

Todd Gurley RB, STL: $7,400 vs. CLE
“Do me a favor and take a quick look at Gurley’s rushing attempts every week he has started (yup, a ton) and you will be convinced that he will have enough opportunity to put fantasy points on the board. Gurley doesn’t make many receptions so that’s a bit of a weakness, but he is used in the red zone frequently. If he can add his first TD on top of the 90+ yards we can expect from him, then he will give you solid points this weekend. He is an exciting young player and at $7,400 he presents solid value.”
– James Hatfield (Hatty Waiver Wire Guru)

“Not only does Todd Gurley have the workhorse badge already, he draws one of the top matchups among running backs this week. Cleveland’s defense has allowed the most rushing yards in the league, on 5.0 YDS/A. Gurley is off to an epic start to his NFL career, rushing for 314 yards, on 55 attempts. (5.7 YDS/A) He has yet to find the end zone, but that should change this week when the Rams feed him a plenty.”
Jason Guilbault (Daily Fantasy Cafe)

“Gurley takes on a porous Cleveland rush defense that has allowed an average of 21.3 fantasy PPG to opposing RBs (ranks as the 4th worst rush defense in the NFL). Cleveland is currently allowing the most rushing yards on the season at 789 Yards. Gurley is coming off of consecutive jaw-dropping performances (Week 4 – 19 Attempts for 146 rushing yards & 2 Receptions for 15 receiving yards, Week 5 – 30 attempts for 159 rushing yards, Week 6 – BYE). At home in Week 7, expect another triple-digit day from Gurley with the potential to see the end zone for the first time this season.”
Tozzi Brothers (Legion Report)

Carson Palmer QB, ARI: $8,200 vs. BAL
“I have Carson Palmer ranked as my top QB play and the one player I am going to include in my FanDuel lineup. At a FanDuel salary of $8,200, he’s only the 5th highest ranked QB by salary. You can save $800 in salary cap by starting Palmer over Tom Brady this weekend. It’s all about the matchups, and Palmer has the best matchup this week at home, facing the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Palmer is facing a Ravens defense that has given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. To put things into perspective, Baltimore gave up 340 passing yards and 2 TDs to San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick last week and 457 passing yards and 2 TDs to Cleveland QB Josh McCown in the previous week. Both Derek Carr and Andy Dalton have torched this Baltimore defense for over 350 passing yards and 3 TDs each. You get the point. Palmer may not have a 100% John Brown as he has a tight hamstring, but Palmer has plenty of other targets with Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, David Johnson, and Jermaine Gresham. Palmer ranks 4th overall in passing yards with 1,737. He is also 3rd in passing yards per attempt with 9 and he’s tied for 2nd in passing TDs with 14.”
Jeff Boggis (Fantasy Football Empire)

Brandon Marshall WR, NYJ: $8,200 at NE
“Whether the Jets are ahead or behind in this game, Marshall figures to play a huge role. He is averaging 6 receptions or more per game and has scored TDs in 4 of 5 while going over the century mark in the last 4 games. Having averaged 17.92 fantasy points per game on FanDuel, I’m rolling with him while he is red-hot in terms of offensive production.”
Terrance Bridgett (ProjectRoto)

St. Louis Rams DST: $4,500 vs. CLE
“The Rams defense is too fast at home. If you think the Seattle defense moves fast, watch this Rams defense at home and it will remind you why you burned a mid-round pick on this squad in season-long leagues. Coming off of the bye week, the Rams defense will have an extra week to plan for this game against the Browns. Add the fact that the unit will be rejuvenated and faster than ever going against a Browns offense that does not beat you with speed. The Rams will always be one step faster than Josh McCown and Cleveland, which will lead to sacks and INT’s. With the NFC West semi up for grabs, this game is one the Rams don’t want to give away.”
Muntradamus (BEAST DOME)
