Russell Westbrook nearly had a triple-double in his last game against the Pelicans

It’s a small slate before the All-Star break, but there’s still a chance to play FanDuel NBA. My advice is to always go with your studs, such as PG Russell Westbrook or C DeMarcus Cousins. Also, go with your gut. If you feel good about a player, go with him. Don’t change. I try to focus on the matchups and point total projections. Target the high-scoring games and favorable matchups. Luckily, tonight both games should provide just that.

Tonight’s games & point projections:

• WAS @ MIL – 211
• NO @ OKC – 220

Favorable matchups:

• WAS @ MIL – both SG, both SF, PF against MIL
• NO @ OKC – PG against OKC, C against NO

Point Guards

Russell Westbrook (OKC): $11,000 vs. NO
Westbrook is a consistent triple-double threat every night. He has not had a triple-double in his last four so he’s due. He’s the top player in fantasy tonight with a great matchup against the Pelicans. In their first meeting of the season, Westbrook put up 43 points and nearly a triple-double (nine rebounds and eight assists).

Norris Cole (NO): $5,100 @ OKC
Cole continues his strong play without Gs Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon both out due to injury. He continues to start as well and in a high-scoring game, his value is excellent. Cole should be busy tonight.

Shooting Guards

Bryce Dejean-Jones (NO): $3,500 @ OKC
Dejean-Jones continues to start for the Pelicans with Gs Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon out. This game will be high scoring, and he should see ample opportunities.

Dion Waiters (OKC): $4,200 vs. NO
Waiters continues to start for the injured Andre Roberson. Although he’s fourth or fifth on the scoring chart, he still offers value at $4,200 in a high-scoring game matched up against Dejean-Jones. He may get you in the teens or maybe even 20 points.

Small Forwards

Kevin Durant (OKC): $10,800 vs. NO
As stated above, play your studs. Durant will keep it rolling against the Pelicans. Durant was out due to injury in their first meeting but he’s been averaging just under 35 points per game in February.

Otto Porter (WAS): $5,900 @ MIL
In a great matchup for Porter against Khris Middleton, figure Porter to be heavily involved on offense and defense. Porter should add a couple of steals tonight against a team that turns it over regularly. Milwaukee turns it over almost 15 times a game and is in the top 10 in most turnovers per contest.

Power Forwards

Jabari Parker (MIL): $4,700 vs. WAS
Parker has been consistent for most of the season. He sees a solid matchup against Nene and should be able to reach double-digit points tonight. At $4,700, that’s great value.

Anthony Davis (NO): $10,200 @ OKC
Davis had a slow game on Wednesday night against the tough Jazz bigs but still reached 33 FP. Tonight, he gets OKC and this should be a very high-scoring game with Davis heavily involved.

Center

Enes Kanter (OKC): $5,100 vs. NO
Kanter is averaging close to 10 less MPG than C Stephen Adams. However, Kanter’s fantasy production is superior to Adams with no less than 11 points in his last six games. Both centers get a favorable matchup against Omer Asik and the Pelicans.
