Point Guard

Russell Westbrook (OKC): $10,900 @ DAL
Russell Westbrook has nine 20+ point games with nine double-doubles and three triple-doubles in the last 10 games. He is expensive, but a high price comes with a high ceiling. At this point, we know what to expect from Westbrook and his breakout potential, so roster him up!

The last two games against the Dallas Mavericks ended with Westbrook being ejected and scoring 16 points. I expect Westbrook to take flight.

Kyrie Irving (CLE): $7,300 vs. CHA
It seems as so the Cleveland Cavaliers’ big three, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and Kevin Love, have a solid rhythm flowing since the firing of David Blatt. With the exception of the games against the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder, Kyrie Irving has been lighting up the fantasy line. Again, with the exception of the Bulls and Thunder games, Irving scored 5x his value in seven of the last eight games, with back to back 50-fantasy point games.

Shooting Guard

Lance Stephenson (MEM): $3,600 vs. LAL
I never thought I would be picking Lance Stephenson but after being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies he has more opportunities to be considered for daily fantasy. In his debut games for the Grizzlies, Stephenson scored 16 points for 23.6 fantasy points showing he can still produce. Assuming he gets the minutes like he did against Toronto, he is a solid play for his price.

E’Twaun Moore (CHI): $4,500 vs. WAS
The injury bug found its way to the Midwest and has nearly taken down the Chicago Bulls, and E’Twaun Moore has taken full advantage of the playing time. In the last two games, he played 35 and 41 minutes, and he has scored 28.4 and 33.3 fantasy points. Being a cheap value play who scores 5x his value somewhat consistently, he can do that again against the Washington Wizards, who have given up the third-most fantasy points in the last 10 games.

Small Forward

Kevin Durant (OKC): $10,200 @ DAL
Kevin Durant and Westbrook seem like they are the only players to take a shot on the Thunder. No doubt that Durant and Westbrook feed off of each other and you get double the points. There’s a good chance that they will dish dimes to each other so one will get an assist and the other will receive the points.

That is how you work the system. No, actually it’s not, but Durant and Westbrook put up big numbers every night and they have potential to have one of those big breakout performances of 70 or more fantasy points. In the last two games against the Mavericks, Durant scored 24 and 29 points. Let’s look for him to score 30+.

Vince Carter (MEM): $3,800 vs. LAL
Vince Carter has returned. “President Carter” is on the same boat as Stephenson with making the most of the Jeff Green trade.

Keep in mind that Tony Allen sat out last game with a sore left knee and is listed as questionable for tonight. If he is out then, fire up Carter, who has scored 31 points and 11 rebounds in the last two games with fantasy scores of 22.8 and 28.9. The old man still has it!

Power Forward

Serge Ibaka (OKC): $5,700 @ DAL
In the game that Westbrook was ejected, Serge Ibaka made the most of the opportunity as he scored 20 points to go with 11 rebounds. In the next meeting against the Mavs, Ibaka only scored 14 points to go along with three rebounds; however, the Mavericks have the fifth-worst rebounding differential, and the Thunder have the best rebounding differential. Look for Ibaka to be worked into the offense tonight.

Kevin Love (CLE): $7,500 vs. CHA
Like I said previously with Irving, Kevin Love has been playing better since Blatt was fired and the Cavaliers seem to have a system flowing that involves Love working his magic in the paint. Playing back to his forte, you can expect solid nights from Kevin Love, once again. In the last three games, Love scored 36.8, 48.2, and 34.9 fantasy points to go along with two double-doubles and two 20+ point games.

Center

Robin Lopez (NY): $6,000 @ IND
Does $6,000 sound right for Robin Lopez? Not to me, when I hear his name I don’t think of him producing that well, but he has scored 38.6, 39.6, 46.2, and 48.2 fantasy points in the last 10 games.

Derek Fisher being fired might have opened up the doors for Lopez, and if that’s the case, then you can expect him to continue his high level of play. Nonetheless, he has surprised me a lot this season, and I am rostering him with confidence. However, he does have a tough matchup so be cautious playing him.

Remember: “Slow dough is better than no dough.” It is a fun savings account! Play smart, have fun and win!

Good luck!
