Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino (hand) underwent surgery to repair a left hamate fracture and is expected to miss four to six weeks. (Joel Goldberg on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Pasquantino suffered the injury on a pop-up to third base during Saturday's loss to the Astros. Pasquantino was already enduring a disappointing season with a .224 average with just six homers and a .659 OPS through 68 games, and working his way back from hand surgery could prove to be difficult in an effort to get his season turned around.
