Twins outfielder Darin Mastroianni, on the 15-day disabled list, will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a bone chip on his left ankle, which will keep him sidelined for at least six weeks.Mastroianni felt some discomfort on his ankle after jogging this past Wednesday. He has been sidelined since April 15 with the injury.

Twins outfielder Darin Mastroianni is still struggling to return from an ankle injury, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Mastroianni felt discomfort when he attempted to run on the ankle Wednesday. He was expected to go on a rehab assignment shortly and return in roughly a week. There is no official plan for the outfielder yet, but this news suggests late May could be an optimistic expectation...
