Gordon Beckham is now the White Sox utility player. He subbed in for Micah Johnson and helped the White Sox win with his single in the ninth inning. Beckham went 1-for-2 with an RBI on Monday.
Fantasy Impact: Beckham does not get enough playing time to warrant a roster spot. He is batting.400, but only has 15 at-bats. Beckham is shining in his utility position, but he is not used enough to be relevant in fantasy.

Gordon Beckham played short-stop in Sunday's game against the Indians. Beckham went 0-for-3 at the plate. He grounded into a double-play, had a walk, groundout, batter interference, and a strikeout.
Fantasy Impact: Beckham is not having a very good spring, He is currently hitting .184. Beckham was brought back to be a utility player. He does not have any fantasy value at this time and will start the season on the bench for the White Sox.

The White Sox brought back Gordon Beckham last week when they signed him to a one-year, $2 million contract. (Source: Chicago Tribune)
Fantasy Impact: Gordon Beckham had little fantasy production during his first stint with the White Sox. I would not expect his fantasy value to increase now that he has returned. In fact, he might not even be a starter heading into the season. Beckham gives the White Sox another option to fill in at second or third base, but that is all he has to offer at this point in his career.
Beckham's non-tender is not unexpected, as he was projected to earn $5 million by MLBTradeRumors.com, a quite expensive salary for a backup infielder. (Source: Alden Gonzalez)
Fantasy Impact: Beckham, now 28, struggled in 2014 hitting only .226/.271/.348 with nine homers over 127 games for the White Sox and Angels in 2014. Depending on where Beckham ends up, quite possibly back with the Angels for a lesser contract, he might be able to find a better opportunity elsewhere.
