“Don't worry about Konerko being 36 years old. He's been consistently winning fantasy championships for his owners for the last 13 years. If you don't want to draft a 1st Baseman in the first 2 rounds, Konerko is your guy.”

“Now 36 years old, Konerko is showing no signs of slowing down. If he could get more production from Rios and Dunn, he could be even more productive. Draft Konerko once the top 1B picks are off the board.”

“The ageless wonder has managed to trend upward, even as his age does as well. Konerko has found his place as a top 10 1B year in and year out, and 2011 was perhaps his best season of all. I'm not convinced he can maintain the pace he did a year ago, but look for him to still be a productive first baseman. He's 36 years old and coming off a sub par second half in 2011. I'm looking at a .280, 27, 85 RBI type campaign. He's a bit of an ironman in terms of games played, but he has a tendency to play with nagging injuries that can make him unproductive at times.”

“Konerko was solid once again even though his numbers did decline a bit. He went from 39 HRs, to 31, but still was able to hit .300 and drive in over 100 RBIs. Konerko should be able to approach similar numbers, but at the age of 36, a decline would not be very surprising. If you can grab Paul late enough, he will give you more than solid production with low expectations.”
