The Cubs will probably wait until Thursday, when Ryan Dempster is slated to come off the DL, to make a roster decision on pitcher Randy Wells. In the meantime, Wells, who lasted just three-plus innings Saturday against the Phillies, will be available out of the bullpen. "He'd be available by Tuesday, probably, in some capacity," Sveum said.

Cubs pitcher Randy Wells cruised through the first three innings on Saturday against the Phillies. Then the wheels fell off in the fourth inning as he fell behind every hitter and issued three walks, loading the bases. He left with runners at second and third base with two outs.
