Pittsburgh catcher Rod Barajas smacked his fourth home run of the season on Sunday in a loss at Detroit. Barajas took Max Scherzer deep in the fifth inning for a solo shot as he finished 1 for 3 on the game. Barajas added a sacrifice fly for a second RBI in the ninth inning. The catcher is batting .220 on the season for the Pirates.

Pittsburgh catcher Rod Barajas hit his third career walkoff homer on Tuesday as the Pirates beat the Nationals, 5-4. Barajas' two-run shot in the bottom of the ninth inning off reliever Henry Rodriguez was his only hit of the contest. Barajas was 1 for 4 with a strikeout.

Pittsburgh catcher Rod Barajas was ejected from Wednesday's game in St. Louis for arguing balls and strikes from the backstop position, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Barajas went 0 for 1 from the plate in the game. He's batting .148 on the year. Barajas was replaced by Michael McKenry.
