MLB.com reported that Cubs catcher Geovany Soto was a late scratch for Saturday's game against the Phillies. That gave backup Welington Castillo the start. Castillo was called up from Triple-A earlier on Saturday when the Cubs placed Steve Clevenger on the 15-day disabled list.
