Gordon Hayward scores 21 points before exiting with hand injury in loss

Gordon Hayward scored 21 points (9-15 FG, 1-5 3PT, 2-2 FT) with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block across 26 minutes in a 132-110 loss against the Utah Jazz on Monday. Hayward eventually exited the game with a hand injury in the second half.

Fantasy Impact:

Hayward was shooting an efficient 60 FG% and was involved on the defensive side of the ball, filling up the stat sheet in rebounds, steals and a block prior to suffering a hand injury in the second half. Fantasy managers rostering Hayward should look to pivot towards Terry Rozier, LaMelo Ball or Malik Monk if any of them remain available on league waiver wires. With Devonte' Graham (knee) sidelined and set to return soon, the young backcourt for the Hornets promises to be the focal point of the offense moving forward in Hayward's absence. The team will get a day to rest before traveling to play the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
