Jadeveon Clowney has been ruled out with an ankle sprain for the Texans Week 6 matchup against the division rival Jacksonville Jaguars. (Tania Ganguli on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Clowney has not showed up exceptionally well on the stat sheets, but has been disruptive on the field for the Texans defense. This will be a big blow to a defense that is struggling to live up to its preseason hype. Having said that, this unit still has a plus matchup against the Jaguars, but owners should temper expectations. The Texans will need Whitney Mercilus to step up in Clowney's absence to garner pressure on Blake Bortles.
