Nashville Predators forward Eeli Tolvanen scored in Friday's 4-1 season-opening win over the San Jose Sharks.

Tolvanen's early second-period tally proved to be the game-winner as part of a season-opening 4-1 victory over the Sharks. A former first-rounder and top prospect, Tolvanen has yet to hit his stride at the NHL level, collecting 11 goals and 23 points across 75 games last season. Still only 23 years old, the club will be looking for a step forward from the Finn in his second full NHL campaign.
