Alex Smith (QB – KC) – vs. CHI – $5,500
This price doesn’t make much sense to me. I realize Smith has been mediocre his entire career, but I feel like something has clicked this season. The only rough outing he’s had this season fantasy points wise was against Denver, which is to be expected. The Bears defense ranks 24th in allowing fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Chiefs are also predicted to score about four touchdowns, so I’d expect Smith to be a part of those scores. Even if Charles gets involved, he does a lot of his damage through the air which obviously helps Smith. If Smith can just hit the bonus on DraftKings he’ll have basically met value. Fewer yards and a touchdown or two will also suffice.

Todd Gurley (RB – StL) – vs. GB – $4,300
Gurley turned heads at the University of Georgia and also last week in his first meaningful NFL action. The Packers rank 11th in giving up fantasy points to running backs, but the game plan for the Rams has to be to keep the ball out of Aaron Rodgers’ hands. The best way to do that is to pound the rock with Gurley in a hostile environment. Gurley is the type of back that gains momentum throughout the game, as evidenced by his huge second half last week. I don’t think he will hit 146 yards like he did last week, but he only needs about 100 yards and an errant catch out of the backfield to meet his required point total.

Willie Snead (WR – NO) – vs. PHI – $3,000
Snead has burst onto the scene after most of the pre-season buzz touted Brandon Coleman and Nick Toon. The Saints don’t have a target gobbling tight end like they did last season which has opened the door for more looks for Snead. The Eagles rank 27th in defending opposing wide receivers and have given up plenty of big days to receivers thus far in 2015. The game boasts a total of 50 points, which makes for a very targetable game. Overall, for minimum salary you can’t go wrong here. Snead allows you to get some more studs in your lineup and only needs about 10 fantasy points to be considered a solid cash game play. I can see him eclipsing that with ease.

Kamar Aiken (WR – BAL) – vs. CLE – $3,800
Aiken stepped up big time in the absence of Steve Smith last week, who went down with some cracked ribs. Against the Steelers, Aiken hauled in five receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. This week he gets the 26th ranked Cleveland Browns defense. Without Smith hogging targets, Aiken should see an increase in looks as well as being the go-to receiving option for Joe Flacco. Like Snead, Aiken’s price allows you to go up and get studs like Le’Veon Bell and Julio Jones to plug in your roster.

Owen Daniels (TE – DEN) – vs. OAK – $2,700
Daniels found himself on the value plays list last week and although he didn’t explode, he did score a touchdown and met value on DraftKings. Here in Week 6, Daniels gets to face off against the putrid Oakland Raiders’ defense. They are particularly terrible against the tight end as they allow the most fantasy points to the position in the league. It’s not like they’ve run the gauntlet of skilled tight ends, either. They’ve allowed the likes of Gary Barnidge and Crockett Gillmore to have productive fantasy performances. If you aren’t playing Gronk, punting tight end with Owen Daniels is the way to go.
