Week 6 Expert Accuracy Rankings

Which expert actually recommended starting Kenny Britt last week?

In Week 6, we saw the #41 ranked RB for the week explode for over 200 yards, perhaps the worst starting quarterback in the NFL break one of Kurt Warner’s old records, and a brand new coordinator put all of his confidence behind Terrance West, leading to another breakout game. Somehow, a few fantasy experts stood out from the pack and recommended fantasy owners start all three of these players. As always, you can check out the entire standings in our accuracy section.

This week, Jason Moore (The Fantasy Footballers) vastly outpaced the field, propelling himself into the top 10 year-to-date standings. He was able to accomplish this thanks to quarterback rankings that had a larger gap away from second place than second place had to ninth place. A large part of that came from being the second best expert on Case Keenum, who finished as QB #2 this week. Jason had Keenum ranked #18, while the expert consensus rankings buried him back at #29. He was also well ahead of the pack on Eli Manning, Andy Dalton and spectacularly moved Derek Carr all the way down to QB #21, while the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR) had him at #9. Carr finished QB #21 last week. Likewise, Moore significantly faded Blake Bortles, Alex Smith and Carson Wentz, all of which paid off. The dominance didn’t stop there, however, Moore also put distance between himself and the field with his Terrance West and Spencer Ware picks at running back, Kenny Britt and Brandin Cooks at wide receiver and by finishing 13th among 140 experts at tight end, highlighted by a stellar C.J. Fiedorowicz ranking. Jason listed Fiedorowicz as TE #18, while the ECR had him all the way down at #28. As we know, Fiedorowicz finished as the third best tight end last week. Congratulations to Jason on such a tremendous week!

As we already mentioned, Jason Moore’s (The Fantasy Footballers) superb first place finish this week vaulted him into the top ten at #8. Likewise, Muntradamus (Best Dome) had another big week, finishing #4 thanks to some bold picks, and saw himself move into the top 10 also, one spot ahead of Moore for the year-to-date rankings. Much of the top remained the same, as Sean Koerner’s (STATS) #38 performance kept him well ahead of the rest of the field and Dave’s Major (XN Sports) #20 week moved him up to #2 for year-to-date ahead of Brett Talley (The Fantasy Fix) and Dan Clasgens (Get Sports Info), who both finished outside of the top 50 this week.

We’ll be back again after the games this weekend to provide another update on the experts making the most accurate predictions. Until then, be sure to check out the experts’ weekly rankings to help with your lineup decisions.
