It’s Week 10 of our Daily Fantasy Accuracy Cup (DFAC) and the top six are separated by less than 50 points. It’s anyone’s contest to earn the title of most accurate DFS expert. In case you’re not familiar, we have been hosting our annual DFAC for four years now. Each week, experts from all over the industry compete against one another in a game hosted by our friends at FanDuel.
As a benefit to you, after each week, we ask the top finishers to give us their favorite plays for the weekend. Find out below who the experts like as their top DFS pick for Sunday’s main slate.
Q. Which one player will you be using in all of your DFS lineups this weekend?
David Johnson (RB – ARI): $9,400 vs. SF
“When you take a look at Sunday’s slate of games one thing sticks out. Arizona with arguably the league’s best running back hosts the league’s worst run defense from San Francisco. The 49ers are giving up 193 yards per game on the ground and 5.25 per rush. Considering Johnson accounts for half the Cardinals yards and touches on offense, I’d be shocked if he wasn’t near 100% owned.”
– Terrance Bridgett (Fantasy Six Pack)
Alshon Jeffery (WR – CHI): $7,200 at TB
“First of all, David Johnson will be in the majority of my lineups this week, but someone maybe less obvious that I’ll play with confidence is Alshon Jeffery. The Buccaneers are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game (35.26) in a half point per reception format like FanDuel. The Bucs have allowed touchdowns to basically every wide receiver they’ve faced this season including Michael Floyd, Tavon Austin, Brian Quick and Seth Roberts. Not to mention allowing big stat lines to top tier wideouts. 12 total is the number of TDs they’ve allowed this season and Jeffery found the end zone in his last game, his best fantasy week of the season which came with Jay Cutler back at quarterback. Expect another TD this Sunday against Tampa Bay.”
– Chris Meaney (FNTSY)
“David Johnson is too easy, so I’m going to go with Alshon Jeffery. Cutler is back, which means big things for Jeffery. The Bears’ wideout has 32 targets the past three weeks and faces a Bucs defense that has allowed the third-most FPPG to opposing WRs along with the most FPPG to #1 wideouts. He is not priced accurately for that kind of volume and is a solid cash lock alongside Johnson.”
– Jamie Calandro (Fantasy Team Advice)
“The easy answer would be to say RB David Johnson, but I don’t need to tell you to roster Johnson against the worst run defense in the league as huge home favorites. Other than David Johnson, the one player that I will be trying to fit in as many of my rosters as possible would be Alshon Jeffery. He has seen 32 targets over the past three weeks including three red zone targets. Jay Cutler leans heavily on Jeffery in the passing game and in the red zone. I expect Jeffery to see 8-10 targets against the 20th ranked DVOA pass defense that has given up the most fantasy points to opposing WRs. To top it off, he is underpriced in my opinion.”
– Philip Double (Daily Fantasy Bootcamp)
Aaron Rodgers (QB – GB): $9,000 at TEN
I know it sounds chalk-y to say, but we’ll be going back to Aaron Rodgers yet again this week. This will be the fourth week in a row of us playing Rodgers and with each week we’ve seen his ownership levels rise. But for a cash game (and the DFAC) Rodgers represents such a high floor/high ceiling play. Since Eddie Lacy went down after Week 6, the Packers game plan has centered on throwing the ball (second most in the league over last three weeks) and relying on Rodgers to make plays with his feet (37 rushing yards per game in that span). The ability to run along with the high volume passing, combined with Tennessee’s struggles to defend the pass this season, make Rodgers again our QB play.
