FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Thursday 5/24

Happy Thursday DFS players. Welcome to hardcore FanDuel, the intense Thursday main slate of three games that only the craziest of players attempt. Maybe I am exaggerating, but seriously, there are only three games to choose our rosters from on Thursday night. As usual, be sure to check the lineups to account for injuries or resting players. Let’s take a look at the lineup you should consider for tonight’s main slate on FanDuel to get an edge on your competition.

Pitcher

Rick Porcello (BOS): $9,300 vs. TAM
Rick Porcello faces off against the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday night, which would seem to be the chalk of the night. The Rays have a team-wide 20% strikeout rate vs. right-handed pitchers this season while Porcello comes in with a 30% strikeout rate vs. left-handed hitters and 20% against righties. The Red Sox righty carries a 2.80 FIP and a fantastic 1.55 B/9 which makes him a nice bet to take advantage of the Tamp Bay lineup. He has given up a combined 13 runs over his last three starts, but I am willing to bet that the Rays are the cure for his woes. Porcello has already faced the Rays three times this season, which is ridiculous, but he has fared well in each of those outings. He is a bit overpriced tonight for the upside he brings, but I would still toss him in your lineup, the alternatives are not very fun aside from Blake Snell.
