FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Thursday (9/27)

In the main slate on FanDuel (7:05 pm EST start, or later), we have six games to choose from when constructing our lineup. Of those six matchups, we’re still waiting for Vegas odds in two of them (HOU/BAL and DET/MIN). As for the lines we have, two games were given an over/under of at least nine total runs.

As far as pitching is concerned, no teams are heavy favorites. However, I believe Houston will likely reach that level when Vegas produces the numbers. The lowest over/under of the lines we have goes to the ATL/NYM matchup, with Atlanta as the favorite. That will likely help determine our starting pitcher for Thursday night.

This article is posted well before lineups are released by the managers. If you have a question, feel free to reach me on Twitter @CharlieSideHstl.

Pitcher

Julio Teheran (ATL): $8,000 @ NYM
You could spend an extra $3,400 on the Astros arm (also listed in the “Other Notables” section), but both have the same reliability lately. Teheran has allowed two earned runs, or less, in six of the last eight appearances (Gerrit Cole has allowed two earned runs or less in five of the last seven outings). While Cole has the edge on Teheran in the strikeout department, the Atlanta starter has still recorded at least five punch outs in nine consecutive performances. The Mets are on the docket for Teheran on Thursday night. This season, he’s 1-1 with a remarkable 1.69 ERA and has tallied 21 strikeouts in 26.2 innings of work.
