We are looking at a fun Friday night slate in the Association with eight games on the docket. There could be points galore on this slate with five of the eight games coming in with a Vegas total of 225 points or more. There are also a variety of cheap value options that could open up if some injury news forces players to take the night off. It could be a wild, high-scoring night in DFS hoops!
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom defense versus position (DvP) calculations that combine both season and last five games data along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

One Stud
Joel Embiid (C – PHI): $9,900 vs. SAC
There are a variety of solid high-priced options on Friday’s slate but I’m interesting Joel Embiid the most due to his salary and great game environment at home against the Kings. In his first two games back from injury, Embiid is averaging 25.0 points and 15.5 rebounds. He’ll face a Kings team that plays at the fastest pace in the league and has allowed the most rebounds to opposing big men this season. Embiid had 29 points and 17 rebounds in an earlier meeting this season.
Core Plays
Kemba Walker (PG – CHA): $8,200 @ WAS
Kemba has destroyed the Wizards this season putting up 30.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game in three meetings. He is coming in hot with a 40-point effort on Monday against the Rockets. The Hornets/Wizards matchup could also be the best game environment on the slate with the closest Vegas line and one of the highest Vegas totals.
