No. 27 – Baltimore Ravens – Rashod Bateman (WR)
The Ravens have had a glaring weakness at wide receiver for the last few seasons. Although they went out and signed Sammy Watkins this offseason, that came after striking out on Kenny Golladay and JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency. Bateman can play all over the field and will look to become the team’s top wide receiver this year. Marquise Brown paced the team in targets in 2020 but Lamar Jackson should look Bateman’s way plenty as a rookie in 2021.
For the second time in three years, Ravens go WR with their first-round pick. They select Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman.

No. 28 – New Orleans Saints – Payton Turner (EDGE)
There were rumblings throughout the day that the Saints were calling about possibly moving up in the draft for a cornerback. Instead, they stay at their original No. 28 pick and an edge rusher in Turner. He has good size and athleticism but will need to improve his pass rushing at the next level.
And Houston DE Payton Turner does indeed go in the first round….to the Saints at No. 28. https://t.co/Vw9ndR6JOq
