Fantasy Baseball Dynasty Trade Value Chart: May Edition (2021)

Fantasy Baseball Dynasty Trade Value Chart: May Edition (2021)

As dynasty leagues continue to gain traction within the fantasy baseball community, the growth of great content around dynasty leagues continues to grow, too. One aspect that we realized was missing last year was a dynasty trade chart. You can see the 2020 version that we did, but we wanted to keep this year’s version updated throughout the season. We published the first list in February, but you wanted more and more.

We heard you.

Just how much would it take to land Juan Soto? What if you wanted an ace in your mixed or mono league? We covered both types of leagues to assist you. To put together our list of the top 400 prospects, we used Eric Cross’s top 500 prospect list from Fantrax. Eric is, by far, the best prospect evaluator for fantasy purposes in the game, so there is no better source to use. Follow him and follow his work.

My rankings vary from Eric’s list, but it gives us a nice baseline for who to include and who to exclude. I went ahead and adjusted my list accordingly.

Now, the values on the chart are a mix between current value, long-term value, and perceived value. Also, just because Soto is a 50 doesn’t mean that you can trade five 10’s for him.

You can find values below for mixed, AL-only, and NL-only dynasty fantasy baseball leagues.

Note: Not all dynasty leagues are made the same. Shohei Ohtani, for example, still comes in high. It’s impossible to cover Ohtani with the ways that different sites use him and also cover weekly vs. daily lineups with him. I’m ranking him as if he’s SP and DH in a daily league, and I’m using 5×5 traditional stats in my values. Calibrate to your league settings accordingly for every player.
