After covering cash games and GPPs last week, I’m back to the usual cash game article this week. I made one big mistake in that article, which was trusting the Chiefs! This offense is completely lost right now, and it’s impossible to trust a team struggling this badly. In any case, everything went well outside of them, and we’re going to look to keep that momentum rolling here. With that in mind, let’s get into it!
NOTE: In the consideration section, DraftKings price is first, and FanDuel price is second!

The players below are ones I’m looking at for cash game considerations for Week 8.
Quarterbacks
DraftKings
Josh Allen (BUF): $8,100, vs. MIA
Allen is probably the best quarterback in fantasy right now. Not only is he an elite passer, but he’s also the primary goal-line back in Buffalo. That makes him an easy choice for cash games, scoring at least 33 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. That shouldn’t be difficult to duplicate against a Dolphins team that allows 414 yards per game, the worst mark in the NFL.
Tom Brady (TB): $7,400, at NO
Can we talk about how crazy this guy is? Most 44-year-olds I know complain about having to walk from their couch to the refrigerator, and Brady is playing football at the highest level. The future Hall-of-Famer is second among quarterbacks with 27.1 DK points per game, attempting at least 36 passes in every game. New Orleans is far from scary, too, ranked 20th in passing yards allowed this season.

FanDuel
Matthew Stafford (LAR): $8,200, at HOU
Stafford has thrown his hat in the MVP running, turning this Rams team into a true contender. His reliability is equally impressive, scoring at least 18 FanDuel points in all seven games. Many people might be worried about the blowout potential, but Stafford’s most prominent games were all blowouts. Not to mention, Houston owns a 27th OPRK against opposing quarterbacks.
Ryan Tannehill (TEN): $7,500, at IND
This is undoubtedly the riskiest of the cash game options, but Indy is a brilliant matchup right now. They have injuries all across their secondary and currently sit 30th in total defense. But we love that with Tannehill having his best game of the season in Week 7 against the Chiefs.
In Consideration: Justin Herbert (LAC): $7,300/$7,900, vs. NWE
Running Backs
DraftKings
Derrick Henry (TEN): $8,900, at IND
Henry will probably be in this section every single week. This dude ran for 2,000 yards last season and is well on his way to another historic campaign. He’s averaging 28.8 DraftKings points per game, touching the ball 30 times a game. That’s rough news for a struggling Colts defense, especially with Henry reaching the century mark in each of their last four meetings.
Joe Mixon (CIN): $6,900, at NYJ
Facing the Jets is a godsend right now. They currently allow the most fantasy points to opposing running backs, and they surely won’t slow a guy like Mixon down. Big Joe has at least 10.5 DK points in six of seven games this season, en route to a 16-point average. So look for that to be his floor, with Cincy being such a big favorite too.
FanDuel
Alvin Kamara (NO): $8,400, vs. TB
Tampa has had the best run defense for two years now, but they struggle with something you might not even realize. That happens to be pass-catching running backs, allowing 7.4 receptions per game to opposing backs. That’s the third-worst mark in the NFL, and we’re talking about a guy who had ten catches for 128 yards on Monday night.
Elijah Mitchell (SF): $5,800, at CHI
San Fran seems to have an injured running back every week, but it’s opened up the door for Mitchell to be the man. He’s played at least 61 percent of the team’s snaps in each game he’s played, receiving nearly 90 percent of the running back carries in those outings. That’s a fantastic total from a sub-$6K player, and it’s not like Chicago’s 23rd-ranked rush defense worries us either.
In Consideration: Darrell Henderson (LAR): $6,500/$7,700, at HOU
Wide Receivers
DraftKings
Diontae Johnson (PIT): $6,700, at CLE
You have to scroll way too far down to find this guy! DJ has established himself as a horse in Pittsburgh, receiving double-digit targets in all but one game. Unfortunately, he happened to get injured in that outing, too, leading to a 19-point average on DraftKings and a 15-point floor across those five outings. Cleveland is an excellent matchup for DJ, too, with the Browns owning a 26th OPRK against opposing wideouts this season. In their two matchups last season, DJ had 14 catches for 213 yards if you needed any more incentive.
Michael Pittman (IND): $5,300, vs. TEN
This is one of the most egregious prices on the slate. Pittman has scored at least 12 DraftKings points in five of his last six games, with the one dud coming because of T.Y. Hilton’s return. He’s out again, and that makes Pittman the primary target for Carson Wentz. The best part of this play is the matchup, with Tennessee surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
FanDuel
Cooper Kupp (LAR): $9,200, at HOU
Not much needs to be said here. Kupp is setting records seemingly every week, tallying 56 receptions for 809 yards and nine touchdowns. All of those happen to be the top marks in the NFL, along with his tremendous 81 targets. That makes him an easy cash gameplay against one of the worst teams in the NFL.
Stefon Diggs (BUF): $7,300, vs. MIA
Diggs was having a “down” year before blowing up in Week 6, but it looks like FanDuel hasn’t adjusted with this pricing. He’s still way too cheap, being priced below DK Metcalf! That’s downright silly, with Diggs leading all wideouts in fantasy points last season. His 19.4 FanDuel points in Week 6 should continue here, with Miami allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing receivers.
In Consideration: Chris Godwin (TB): $6,400/$7,200, at NO
Tight Ends
DraftKings
Kyle Pitts (ATL): $6,300, vs. CAR
Wow, the tight ends on this slate are a disaster! Pitts is easily the top option on the board, posting a target share above 30 percent since Atlanta went to London. He’s actually on pace to set every rookie record for tight ends, scoring 56.2 combined DK points over the last two games. Many tight ends haven’t even reached that total for the year, making Pitts an easy choice up top!
FanDuel
Dallas Goedert (PHI): $5,900, vs. DET
We already mentioned how difficult it is to pick tight ends, but Goedert is a sneaky choice for the Eagles. Now that Zach Ertz is out of the picture, Goedert is the primary pass-catcher in this offense. He will also be the main target in the red zone, recording a season-high 70 receiving yards in Week 7. We also don’t mind that Detroit ranks 26th in points allowed and 25th in yardage surrendered either.
In Consideration: Hunter Henry (NWE): $4,200/$5,500, at LAC
Defense/Special Teams
DraftKings
Cincinnati Bengals D/ST: $3,700, at NYJ
This price made my jaw drop. The Bengals have been one of the best defenses in the NFL, and they have the matchup of all matchups here! The Jets allowed the most fantasy points to opposing D/STs before Zach Wilson went down, and they’re now throwing Mike White into the fire. That has them projected for just 16 points and the safest bet for a few sacks and turnovers as well.
FanDuel
Denver Broncos D/ST: $4,100, vs. WAS
There are a lot of expensive defenses on FanDuel, but Denver is a good pivot to save some salary. This team ranks fourth in points allowed and fifth in yardage surrendered, making them an easy pick against Washington. The Football Team ranks 23rd in points scored, and it’s hard to imagine them doing much in a game where they’re underdogs with a 43-point total.
In Consideration: Los Angeles Rams: $5,100/$5,000, at HOU
