The Chargers lock up Mike Williams entering his age-28 season after a career year. Williams set new highs in targets (129), receptions (76), and receiving yards (1,146), finishing the season as the WR13. He stormed out the gate in 2021 as the WR2 in fantasy through the first five weeks of the season, averaging 94.2 receiving yards and 1.2 receiving touchdowns per game. From Week 6 on, he cooled off considerably, only surpassing 65 receiving yards three times as the WR28 in fantasy scoring.
Williams is tied to one of the best quarterbacks in the game for the foreseeable future and should be considered a WR2 in both dynasty and redraft formats. Sadly, his return squashes much of the sleeper hype Josh Palmer previously received in dynasty circles. Palmer will now function as nothing more than a depth piece for dynasty and the Chargers.
