Manny Machado (hand) placed on injured list
The San Diego Padres placed Manny Machado on the 10-day injured list due to a left hand fracture the club announced.
Fantasy Impact
Machado had been attempting to avoid a stint on the injured list, but the club ultimately decided to place the superstar on it. His absence will leave a gaping hole in the middle of the San Diego lineup. Brandon Dixon was recalled from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) returns to lineup Friday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) is batting third and is serving as the designated hitter Friday vs the Orioles.
