Davante Adams‘ leg injury not believed to be ‘crazy serious’
Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams had an abbreviated practice after an apparent leg injury took him to the trainers’ room. However, head coach Josh McDaniels said he didn’t believe it was “crazy serious” and that it was a routine “bang-bang play.”
Fantasy Impact
McDaniels’ phrasing isn’t extremely helpful, as not “crazy serious” could be a range of outcomes. The Athletic’s Tashan Reed said Adams wasn’t expected to play in their preseason opener regardless, and Reed said a league source expects the injury to be minor. His timeline is not clear, but the Raiders have a pair of joint practices with the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should monitor if Adams participates in them.

Elijah Moore leaves game against Commanders
Elijah Moore headed to the locker room after being evaluated in the medical tent. The 23-year-old caught only one pass for six yards on one target.
Fantasy Impact
Moore was expected to become the slot guy in the high-powered Browns’ offense. He has done all his work in the slot so far in his career. Depending on the injury status, if Moore is available in later rounds, take a shot and snag him up. He could be a sneaky-good pick later in the year.

Jaylen Waddle: No long-term concern about midsection injury
Jaylen Waddle, who suffered a midsection injury this week, is not believed to be in danger of missing serious time, according to Dolphins’ HC Mike McDaniel.
Fantasy Impact
Waddle’s injury scare seems to be nothing to be concerned about, but it will still be worth monitoring the third-year wideout’s status moving forward. Waddle has not missed a game in his young career due to injury (missed a game due to Covid in 2021) and there is no reason to think he won’t suit up for the Phins’ Week 1 game against the Chargers. Waddle is one of the game’s best WR2 and despite catching 30 fewer passes in his sophomore season than his rookie campaign, his league-leading 18.1 yards-per-reception make him one of the league’s best boom candidates week in and week out. Waddle should be a high-end WR2 in 2023, with weekly WR1 upside.
