Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.
NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/28)
Jayson Tatum (F – BOS): 7.5 1st quarter points
Tatum has been scorching to open games for the Celtics recently, pouring in 10 or more first quarter points in each of his last five games, averaging 13.6 points in just the first. Tatum just dropped 14 in the first quarter against these same Atlanta Hawks on Monday. Tap the More on Tatum for Thursday night basketball.
Pick: More
Jaylen Brown (G/F – BOS): 21.5 points
Jaylen continues to fill it up for the Boston Celtics and is playing his best basketball of the season as he gears up for the playoffs, averaging 28.4 points per game in March. He has poured in 24 or more points in seven of his last eight games and in 11 of his last 13. Jaylen scored 24 against the Hawks on Monday and is in an excellent position to do so again tonight against an undermanned Atlanta Hawks squad playing on the second half of a back-to-back. Jab the More on Jaylen for Thursday night.
Pick: More
CJ McCollum (G – POR): 4.5 assists
McCollum continues to see an increased usage rate with Brandon Ingram sidelined, dishing out five or more assists in each of the three games since the star wing went down. McCollum has averaged 5.1 assists per game with Ingram out of the lineup this season and has recorded five or more assists in five of his last six games. The Hornets will need to lean on McCollum as both a playmaker and a scorer for them to have a chance at the upset over the Milwaukee Bucks tonight. Mash the More on McCollum for Friday night’s action.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
