Alvin Kamara (back) remains absent Thursday
New Orleans Saints veteran RB Alvin Kamara remains absent from practice on Thursday as he deals with a back injury.
Fantasy Impact
Saints head coach Dennis Allen confirmed on Thursday that Kamara’s absence is “0% related to contract issues,” which caused him to leave early on the team’s final day of minicamp. Kamara has dealt with back tightness before, says Allen, and it’s causing him to miss some time. There should be no concern for his regular-season status, though his situation is worth monitoring as he continues to miss time.

Chuba Hubbard injures knee, initial tests look good
Carolina Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard, who went down with a knee injury at practice on Thursday following a hit, “looks good” according to initial tests, says head coach Dave Canales.
Fantasy Impact
Hubbard went down earlier in the day but was able to get up and walk around on the sidelines. His situation is worth monitoring, but as it stands now, any initial cause for concern should be alleviated. Hubbard is slated to be the team’s RB1 in Week 1 with rookie RB Jonathon Brooks (NFI) still recovering from his ACL tear. It remains to be seen if Hubbard will miss any time as a result of his injury.
