The Cubs and Yankees have reportedly expressed interest in free agent reliever Brooks Raley.

Raley is still recovering from Tommy John surgery last May, so he’ll likely be ready to pitch in the middle of this season. He may land a two-year deal as a result with him likely not being rushed back this year.

Jeff Hoffman inks three-year deal with Blue Jays
The Blue Jays and Jeff Hoffman have agreed to a three-year, $33 million deal.

Hoffman is coming off an excellent season, posting a 2.17 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP in 68 games with the Phillies in 2024. He is expected to get a chance to close games for the Blue Jays in 2025.
