Wednesday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Anthony Edwards, Cade Cunningham, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (1/22)

Wednesday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Anthony Edwards, Cade Cunningham, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (1/22)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/22)

Anthony Edwards (G/F – MIN): 19.5 points (alt line)

Ant-Man’s full line is up to 27.5 due to his recent success, but we are still dropping the line to 19.5 and eating the multiplier hit. Edwards has poured in 21 or more points in nine of his last 10 games. Ant-Man has taken his game to another level this season, but the Timberwolves have still been a much less impressive team since the ‘salary dump esque’ trade of Karl-Anthony Towns. To be fair, this was probably coming regardless of who was at the ownership helm for Minnesota, but there is something to be said for owners or ownership groups that are more concerned about profits (or luxury tax payments) than winning, especially after just making the NBA Finals. Ant-Man poured in 37 and 26 points in his two matchups against Dallas so far this season. Light up the More on Edwards for Wednesday night basketball.

Pick: More

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): 19.5 points (alt line)

Cade Cunningham has played at an all-star level all season and comes into tonight’s contest averaging 24.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 9.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. Cade has scored 20 or more points in six straight and eight of his last nine but has hit the full line of 27.5 in just two of his last three games. Cunningham scored 22 points in his lone meeting against Atlanta this season. Clap the More on Cade for Wednesday night’s NBA action.

Pick: More

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): 24.5 points (alt line)

The initial plan was to go with the Amen Thompson alt rebound line, but SGA at 24.5 points somehow has a higher multiplier despite the higher probability. SGA has poured in 25 or more points in 11 of his last 12 and 30 of his last 32 games overall. Shai scored 26 points in his lone meeting against the Utah Jazz and should continue to be the primary bucket getter with the Thunder shorthanded. Slap the More on SGA for Wednesday night at Sleeper Picks.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
