Chiefs targeting Marquise Brown for 2025 return
Chiefs GM Brett Veach said Tuesday at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine that the team plans to pursue a new deal with Marquise Brown, who’s set to hit unrestricted free agency on March 12. Brown missed the first 15 weeks of 2024 with a sternoclavicular joint injury from the preseason but returned late, logging nine catches for 91 yards across two regular-season games and adding five grabs for 50 yards in three playoff outings. Now 27 (28 by June), Brown could stick with Kansas City, where his speed pairs well with Patrick Mahomes, though he’ll likely slot behind Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice in the pecking order if he re-signs.

Cowboys aiming to re-sign Rico Dowdle ahead of free agency
Cowboys COO Stephen Jones stated Monday that the team is eager to lock in Rico Dowdle before he hits free agency at the start of the new league year. Dowdle, who broke out in 2024, is currently exclusive to Dallas’ negotiating window, but that changes soon. After years buried on the depth chart or practice squad, the 26-year-old (27 by June) delivered a strong case for a solid payday. Steelers GM Omar Khan said he’d ideally like to re-sign either Justin Fields or Russell Wilson.
