Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Golf Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida will host the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA Tour this week. It’s the latest Signature Event, meaning we’re getting a condensed field of 72 golfers, with the top-50 and golfers within 10 strokes of the lead after Round 2 making the cut.
Scottie Scheffler is the outright betting favorite after winning here in 2024, going 15-under-par to finish five strokes ahead of runner-up Wyndham Clark. Scheffler has won two of the last three events at Bay Hill. Xander Schauffele returns from a rib injury this week and is also inside the top-five betting odds in the outright winner market, alongside Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Aberg, and Collin Morikawa.
My Cognizant Classic DFS Primer was a disaster at PGA National this past weekend. Nicolai Hojgaard was the best golfer out of my four selections, carding a T18 finish at -12-under-par. Greyson Sigg made the cut but placed 64th, while Lucas Glover and Adam Schenk both missed the cut.
It’s fun to play DFS at Signature Events with a more talented field and less prospects to analyze. Let’s get back on track ahead of Round 1 at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more DFS PGA and weekly golf analysis.

Course Overview
Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Golf Club & Lodge is a par 72 that runs 7,466 yards. Water hazards abound, along with overseeded ryegrass rough measuring up to four inches. Non-overseeded Bermudagrass greens are set to run 13.5 feet via Stimpmeter, which makes it arguably the fastest putting velocity on any PGA Tour event this season.
Greens are expansive at 7,500 square feet but avoiding the rough off-the-tee and on approach is key to climbing the leaderboard. Four par 3s and four par 5s comprise Bay Hill. Three of these par 3s exceed 215 yards, while three of the four par 5s are 555 yards or longer.
Power and accuracy need to be blended to compete for the outright win at this course. Taking touch off of the putter could prove useful on these lightning-fast Bermudagrass greens.
Recommended Plays: DraftKings
DraftKings maximum salary is set at $50,000
Patrick Cantlay: $9,500
Patrick Cantlay has all the makings of an elite prospect in DraftKings lineups this week at Bay Hill. The Californian carded a T4 finish here in 2023 and has a pair of T5 finishes in two of his last three events played.
Ranked second in birdie average, par 4 scoring, and 10th in scoring average, plus sixth in putting average and second at finding greens in regulation, Cantlay is a screaming value at under $10K. Prioritize him in all lineup builds at this price.
J.J. Spaun: $7,000
We’ve seen J.J. Spaun round into top-form lately. Spaun just had his best finish of the PGA Tour season at PGA National during the Cognizant Classic, recording a T2 finish with a final round 66. He netted 111 fantasy points with 21 birdies and only three holes under par.
At $7K, Spaun’s tee-to-green prowess is worth the investment. Even a T30 finish will return value at this low of a price at a course that also demands precision off-the-tee, similar to what we saw Spaun manage at PGA National.

FanDuel maximum salary is set at $60,000
Russell Henley: $9,700
Russell Henley’s disappointing finish at the Cognizant Classic isn’t steering me away from him at under $10K on FanDuel. Henley has three T10 finishes in five events this season, with his worst outing a T39 at The Genesis Invitational.
The Georgia native has 106+ fantasy points in four of five events played in 2025. Ranked 18th total strokes gained, including 19th putting, 26th on approach, and ninth in driving accuracy, I’m grabbing Henley at a fairly discounted rate based on his body of work in 2025.
Cam Davis: $8,100
Cam Davis returns after a multi-week absence from the PGA Tour. Well-rested after a disappointing missed cut at The Genesis Invitational, the Australian should have had enough time to get back to peak form during his time off.
We’ve seen Davis go T13-T18-T5 in three of five events this season, while missing the cut in two other events. Ranked 30th total strokes gained, which includes 21st on approach, top-40 for finding greens in regulation, and third in putting average, I’m willing to bite on Davis’ 17th-ranked scoring average and 3rd-ranked birdie average (5.5) at just $8.1K on FanDuel this week.
