NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer
NBA DFS Core Plays
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN)
- DraftKings: $13,000
- FanDuel: $12,900
Nikola Jokic has been on an absolute tear, averaging 45 points, 12.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists and two steals over his last three games. Even with the Denver Nuggets dropping all three contests, Jokic continues to dominate, carrying the offense and stuffing the stat sheet. Now facing the Sacramento Kings, which is in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency and struggles to contain bigs, Jokic is positioned for another monster outing.
This will be Denver’s first game since the surprising firings of head coach Michael Malone and GM Calvin Booth, but don’t expect that to impact Jokic’s approach. He’s been the anchor for this team all season and has shown zero signs of slowing down. With playoff positioning still on the line, look for Jokic to maintain his sky-high usage and deliver another elite performance.
Luka Doncic (PG – LAL)
- DraftKings: $12,900
- FanDuel: $11,500
Luka Doncic returns to American Airlines Center for the first time since being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, and there’s no doubt he’ll have a little extra motivation in this one. Anytime a superstar faces their former team on their old home floor, emotions run high, and Doncic has never shied away from the spotlight. The narrative alone adds fuel, but the matchup itself also sets up well for a ceiling game.
When these teams last met on February 25, Doncic posted a 19-point, 15-rebound, 12-assist triple-double with three steals and two blocks. He knows this Dallas Mavericks roster pretty well, and his all-around contributions give him one of the highest floors and ceilings on the slate.

NBA DFS Cash Game Targets
Franz Wagner (SF – ORL)
- DraftKings: $8,800
- FanDuel: $8,600
While Boston Celtics vs. Orlando Magic has the lowest total on the slate, there’s still value to be found, especially with Orlando fighting for the top spot in the play-in tournament. Boston has already locked in the 2-seed and will be on the second night of a back-to-back, which could lead to limited minutes or defensive letdowns from a team with little to play for. That opens the door for Franz Wagner to take advantage, especially in transition.
Wagner has been one of the most consistent fantasy producers down the stretch, scoring 20+ points in 11 straight games. He continues to deliver efficient offense while contributing peripheral stats in rebounds and assists. Even in a slower-paced matchup, his steady role and high floor make him a strong mid-range DFS option, especially if Boston eases off the gas.
Collin Sexton (PG – UTA)
- DraftKings: $6,200
- FanDuel: $6,400
With Jordan Clarkson (foot) already ruled out and Isaiah Collier (hamstring) listed as questionable, Collin Sexton is in line for heavy minutes against a fast-paced Portland Trail Blazers squad. The Trail Blazers have played at the league’s fastest pace over their last five games, creating an ideal DFS environment for volume and transition scoring. Sexton thrives in up-tempo matchups, and with limited backcourt depth, he should see all the minutes he can handle.
Sexton enters this game in strong form, averaging 27 points, four rebounds, 4.5 assists and two steals over his last two outings. He’s bringing energy on both ends and has clearly embraced the lead guard role in Utah’s short-handed rotation.
Adem Bona (C – PHI)
- DraftKings: $5,700
- FanDuel: $6,300
Adem Bona has emerged as a key contributor for the Philadelphia 76ers over their last six games, ranking third on the team with an average of 14.5 points per game. Beyond scoring, Bona has showcased his all-around game, posting 8.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and three blocks per contest.
Tonight, Bona faces a Washington Wizards team that has struggled defensively, ranking 23rd in defensive efficiency over their last four games. Given his recent form and the Wizards’ vulnerability on that end of the floor, Bona is in a prime position to continue his strong play. Expect him to be involved heavily in both the paint and on the glass, with plenty of opportunities for blocks and steals in a favorable matchup.

NBA DFS GPP Targets
Tyler Herro (PG, SG – MIA)
- DraftKings: $9,400
- FanDuel: $9,200
The Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls are in the thick of the play-in race, so expect both teams to bring their best effort tonight. With seeding still up for grabs, this game should be competitive and high-intensity. The Bulls, in particular, have been playing at the second-fastest pace over their last four games, creating a favorable environment for Herro to capitalize on scoring opportunities and transition play.
Over his last six games, Tyler Herro has been a dynamic force for Miami, averaging 27.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists. His offensive game is clicking, and he’s consistently involved in every aspect of Miami’s attack. However, it’s important to keep an eye on Andrew Wiggins‘ (hamstring) status — if he’s available, Herro’s usage could take a dip. Regardless, with the high-paced nature of this matchup, Herro remains a great option with strong upside.
Alex Sarr (C – WAS)
- DraftKings: $6,200
- FanDuel: $6,600
Alex Sarr has been showing significant growth in his recent performances, posting a 28.8% usage rate over his last three games. He’s coming off a massive 50.5 DraftKings fantasy point night on Tuesday, where he stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and three blocks. Sarr’s all-around contributions make him a strong DFS option, especially with his elevated role and involvement in offensive schemes.
Tonight, he faces a Philadelphia 76ers defense that has been struggling lately, ranking 24th in defensive efficiency over their last four games. This presents a prime opportunity for Sarr to capitalize on his recent form and exploit a vulnerable defense.
Lonnie Walker IV (SG, SF – PHI)
- DraftKings: $5,700
- FanDuel: $5,700
Lonnie Walker IV has been playing excellent basketball over his last two games, shooting 53.3% from the floor while averaging 23.5 points, two rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. His offensive efficiency has been impressive, and he’s been a consistent scorer for the team. With Quentin Grimes (back) listed as questionable, Walker could see an even larger role and potentially lead the team in usage if Grimes is unable to play, giving him even more upside in this matchup.
Even if Grimes is active, Walker’s recent performances make him a strong DFS option. He’s exceeded value in his last two games despite Grimes being on the floor, showing that his scoring and all-around contributions are reliable. With the Washington Wizards’ struggles defensively all season long, Walker is in a prime spot to continue his strong stretch of play.

NBA DFS Value Plays
A.J. Lawson (PG – TOR)
- DraftKings: $3,800
- FanDuel: $4,300
A.J. Lawson has been a solid contributor over his last four games, averaging 12 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals in just 19 minutes per game. His ability to fill up the stat sheet across multiple categories makes him an intriguing option, and with increased playing time, Lawson’s fantasy upside rises significantly. With Ja’Kobe Walter (hip), Ochai Agbaji (rest) and Jamal Shead (rest) all ruled out, Lawson may see 27+ minutes of action, giving him a chance to build on his recent performances.
The Charlotte Hornets present a favorable matchup for Lawson, as they rank 28th in defensive efficiency over their last four games. This defensive vulnerability should provide Lawson with ample opportunities to capitalize on his increased role and score efficiently.
Johnny Juzang (SG, SF – UTA)
- DraftKings: $4,300
- FanDuel: $4,200
The Utah Jazz’s backcourt is thin right now, and that’s opened the door for Johnny Juzang to log heavy minutes. Over his last two games, he’s averaged 35.7 minutes per contest, stepping into a significant role as the Jazz look to close out the season with a patched-together rotation.
In that recent stretch, Juzang has averaged 16 points, 2.5 rebounds, one assist and 1.5 steals per game. He’s providing steady scoring while showing flashes of defensive upside, and his salary remains low enough to be a strong value option on the slate.
Duncan Robinson (SG, SF – MIA)
- DraftKings: $3,900
- FanDuel: $4,600
Duncan Robinson has been on fire over his last two games, knocking down nine three-pointers while averaging 18.5 points, two rebounds and two assists. His perimeter shooting has been a key weapon, and he’s found a rhythm in the Miami Heat’s offense, making him a bargain. Robinson’s ability to stretch the floor makes him a valuable asset, especially in up-tempo matchups where shooting volume tends to increase.
With the Chicago Bulls playing at a fast pace, Robinson is set to benefit from the extra possessions and scoring opportunities. He should see 20+ minutes of action, a role he’s capable of flourishing in, particularly when the game has a high tempo. However, if Andrew Wiggins returns to the lineup, Robinson’s usage and minutes could see a dip. As long as Wiggins remains out, Robinson remains a solid value play.
