Scottie Scheffler returns to defend his title win at Harbour Town Golf Links during the 2025 RBC Heritage. Hosted at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, this course demands precision tee-to-green.
The RBC Heritage is a Signature Event and no cut line will be enforced. This loaded field will have plenty of opportunities to move up and down the leaderboard while competing in favorable conditions.
Last week, my Masters DFS Primer yielded some success. Obviously, paying up to get Scottie Scheffler into lineups was worth the price of admission, as the World No. 1 logged a solo fourth-place finish at Augusta National.
Corey Conners at $7.9K on DraftKings was extremely lucrative, carding a T8 finish at this discounted price. Aaron Rai’s T27 finish could’ve been better after a red-hot start but he generated enough production to carry DFS lineups, especially at a meager $6.8K.
My other three golfers all missed the cut, failing to return any value on investment. Lucas Glover, Russell Henley and Sepp Straka all missing the cut came as a big surprise. These disappointing results negated any positives from Scheffler and Conners.
Here’s four golfers to prioritize when building DFS lineups for the upcoming 2025 RBC Heritage. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more PGA DFS recommendations. Get analysis and free picks throughout the 2025 PGA Tour season.

Course Overview
Harbour Town Golf Links plays as a par 71 at 7,213 yards. Designed by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus, precision tee-to-green is key to climbing the leaderboard. Narrow fairways and plenty of sand bunkers form most of the hazards, while water does come into play on a few holes.
Two par 5s on the front-nine and a stretch of six consecutive par 4s from holes 8-13. All four par 3s run 192 yards or further. Par 5s range between 550 yards to 588 yards in length.
Overseeded Bermudagrass greens measure 12.5 feet via Stimpmeter. Greens average 3,700 square feet, making them smaller than average, which is why approach shots are so critical. Rough stands only 1.25 inches in length, so errant tee shots and approach shots won’t be punished nearly as much compared to other courses on the PGA Tour circuit.
Recommended Plays: DraftKings
DraftKings maximum salary is set at $50,000
Patrick Cantlay: $10,000
The most expensive golfer I’m willing to insert into DraftKings lineups this week is Patrick Cantlay. Cantlay has logged three straight top-3 finishes at Harbour Town.
He’s slid outside the top 30 in three of his past four events but I like how Cantlay consistently performs at a precision course like Harbour Town. The forecast calls for mild conditions and Cantlay should be able to flex his approach game throughout this Signature Event.
Ranked 18th in total strokes gained, including 18th SG: Approach and ninth in GIR percentage (70.8%), Cantlay is available at a decent price. Let’s back him to bounce back with his third top 10 finish of the season at the RBC Heritage this week.
Brian Harman: $7,600
Brian Harman has quietly been a strong performer at Harbour Town over the last couple of years. He’s coming off of a T36 at Augusta National and his first outright win of the season at TPC San Antonio during the Valero Texas Open.
Harman’s a massive discount at $7,600 on DraftKings. He’s gone T7-T12 in 2023 and 2024 at this event. Plus, Harman ranks 27th at finding greens in regulation (69.1%) and 21st in proximity. He’s also accurate off-the-tee with his driver, ranked inside the top 40 at finding fairways.
All of these metrics, plus recent confidence gained from his win at Valero, should help Harman record at least 80-90 FPPG at Harbour Town this week. Don’t forget to add Harman into lineups.

Aaron Rai: $8,700
Aaron Rai’s a golfer I’ve consistently backed all season and he’ll continue to qualify in my recommendations for DFS plays at Harbour Town. Rai is only $8,700 on FanDuel despite sitting 27th in total strokes gained on the PGA Tour in 2025.
Rai carded a forgettable T48 finish at the RBC Heritage in 2023 but did not return to play this Signature Event last year. The Englishman ranks 23rd SG: Off-the-Tee, 40th SG: Approach, second in driving accuracy and 15th at finding greens in regulation at 69.9 percent.
It also helps knowing Rai is seventh on par 4s and 21st in birdie average. He’ll be a quality asset at this price in FanDuel DFS lineups this week, so make sure to prioritize Rai due to his elite precision tee-to-green at $8.7K.
Tom Hoge: $8,300
Another golfer with top-tier approach ability, Tom Hoge is another prospect who catches my eye at $8,300. Hoge has logged 83.1 FP or more in three straight events, logging T3-T5-T14 finishes.
Ranked 12th SG: Approach, 13th proximity, and 23rd putting average, Hoge’s main flaw is off-the-tee. He’s an accurate driver but lacks distance, which won’t be as big of an issue at a relatively short Harbour Town course.
Hoge wound up T18 at this event in 2024, shooting 11-under-par in the first two rounds before imploding in difficult conditions with a +3 in the final round. The forecast calls for much better temperatures with minimal wind and rain this week, so expect Hoge to transfer his momentum into a strong finish at the RBC Heritage.
Let’s close out by backing Tom Hoge at $8.3K in FanDuel lineups.
