Thursday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Ja Morant, Cade Cunningham (4/24)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/24)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): 24.5 points (alt line)

SGA got to play a full complement of minutes in Game 2, thanks to a late rally by the Grizzlies to make it interesting for a couple of minutes. Shai scored 27 points, albeit on 29 shots, and should be locked in tonight as the series moves to Memphis. It is expected to be a tougher test in Games 3 and 4, and the Thunder are going to need SGA to be back to his normal, efficient form, as 10/29 shooting likely won’t cut it with the Grizzlies playing at home in pure desperation mode. SGA averaged 36.3 points per game against Memphis during the regular season and should at least match the 27 he dropped in Game 2 tonight. Slap the More on SGA for Thursday night’s NBA action.

Pick: More

Ja Morant (G – MEM): 19.5 points (alt line)

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies have struggled mightily in this series but have a chance to turn things around tonight at home. No one is giving the Grizzlies much of a chance, as their late season collapse ended up giving a former third place team the first place Thunder in the first round. Ja has been locked in as a scorer since Taylor Jenkins was fired, dropping 22 or more points in 10 of his last 11 games. Jab the More on Ja for Thursday night at Sleeper Picks.

Pick: More

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): 19.5 points (alt line)

Cade was able to help Detroit fend off a late rally by the New York Knicks and tie the series. The Pistons now have homecourt advantage but need to take care of business in Game 3. Cade was much better in Game 2, dropping 33 points and not recording a single assist until midway through the third quarter. There was a time when the Pistons beating the Knicks in a seven game series would have shocked the world. After two games in New York, the world will be shocked if Detroit does not win the series. Clap the More on Cade for Thursday night basketball.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
