NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (5/1)

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): 19.5 points (alt line)

Cade has been struggling with efficiency, but has still been a main catalyst in the Detroit Pistons, making this series more exciting and competitive than many had hoped. He has averaged 25.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game through five games, albeit on .430 shooting. Cade is an excellent play at his 19.5 alt line, as Cunningham has scored 21 or more points in all five games of this series. Clap the More on Cade for Thursday night’s NBA action.

Pick: More

Jalen Brunson (G – NYK): 19.5 points (alt line)

Jalen showed that he is only human in Game 4, collapsing with a putrid .250 shooting on 16 shots. 16 field goal attempts for 16 points is embarrassing, no matter the context, but faltering in a series-clinching game and allowing the Detroit Pistons to bring it back home for Game 6 could prove to be disastrous. Brunson is going to need to be the tone setter for the Knicks tonight, so expect him to be back up over 20 field goal attempts regardless of whether his shot is falling tonight. If Jalen takes 20 shots, he should hit at least 20 points for the fifth time in six games of this series. Jab the More on Jalen for Thursday night basketball.

Pick: More

Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): 0.5 double doubles

Nikola has been excellent for the Nuggets in this series, but struggled a bit in the scoring department in Game 5. He still finished the night with a triple double (his third in the five games of this series) and Denver won, but they are going to need their MVP candidate in top form to close out the series tonight. Jokic has recorded a double double in all five games of this series and has recorded three triple doubles to go along with a 36-21-8 line and a 29-9-12 line. Jump on the More on Jokic for Thursday night at Sleeper Picks.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
