The PGA Tour heads to the East Coast this week for the Travelers Championship. It’s the final Signature Event of the season, meaning no cut line will be enforced against the top-ranked golfers in the FedExCup standings.
Scottie Scheffler is once again the betting favorite at +280 odds and will attempt to defend his 2024 Travelers Championship title this week. It’s going to cost a lot to roster the World No. 1 golfer in DFS contests this week, priced at $13.3K on DraftKings and $13.6K on FanDuel.
Last week’s PGA DFS Primer: U.S. Open was a disappointment. Oakmont chewed up and spit out the field, with only winner, J.J. Spaun, finishing under par following his walk-off 64-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole. Jordan Spieth (T23) and Keegan Bradley (T33) had the best finishes out of my recommended golfers at $10.5K and $9.3K on FanDuel. Both of my recommended DraftKings golfers, Shane Lowry (+17) and Sepp Straka (+11), missed the cut.
I’ve regrouped and have four golfers to prioritize in PGA DFS lineups at TPC River Highlands ahead of Round 1 on Thursday. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more PGA DFS recommendations, analysis and free picks.

Course Overview
TPC River Highlands runs short of 7,000 yards at 6,844 yards. It’s one of the shortest courses on the PGA Tour and averaged close to 4-under-par (66.4) per round in 2024. Water hazards become more prominent on the back-nine, while the fairways are flanked by trees.
Rough stands 4.5 inches and is comprised of a fescue-bluegrass combination. Greens run 12 feet via Stimpmeter and are Poa annua surface, although without most of the undulations that were present at Oakmont last week. The primary defense of the greens is their relatively small size, with plenty of sand bunkers guarding against approach shots.
Most par 4s at TPC River Highlands are under 450 yards. It’s the primary reason for the abundance of birdies on scorecards. Big fairway bunkers also punish errant tee shots. Water will be present on Holes 15-17 and most fairways are doglegged. Accuracy tee-to-green is critical.

DraftKings maximum salary is set at $50,000
Robert MacIntyre: $8,400
Robert MacIntyre’s rounding into the top of his game right now. Getting the Scotsman into lineups at $8.4K on DraftKings is the definition of a value play.
MacIntyre nearly won the U.S. Open after dominating the final two rounds. He’s now got six top 10 finishes in 2025 and has logged 77 or more FPPG in three of the past four events, including a Signature Event and major.
Ranks 19th total strokes gained. 22nd SG: Off-the-Tee, 19th SG: Approach, 17th GIR percentage, and 38th driving accuracy. Also 31st scoring average and 17th on par 4s, while averaging close to four birdies per round (41st) this season. Carded a solo 16th during his debut at TPC River Highlands last year.
Ben Griffin: $8,100
Another golfer being disrespected at an $8.1K salary is undoubtedly Ben Griffin. He’s playing the best golf of his career right now and is coming off of a T10 finish at the U.S. Open.
Four straight top 10 finishes entering TPC River Highlands. This includes an outright win at the Charles Schwab Challenge and a runner-up at the Memorial Tournament.
Griffin turned in a lackluster 67th-place finish during his debut at the 2024 Travelers Championship, which could explain why he’s being priced so cheap in DraftKings contests. However, he’s 16th total strokes gained, 37th SG: Approach, 41st SG: Putting, 30th GIR percentage and 26th scoring average.

FanDuel maximum salary is set at $60,000
Brian Harman: $8,700
Brian Harman has been a steady force at TPC River Highlands. In 2024, the left-handed ball-striker finished ninth, marking his fourth consecutive top 10 finish at the Travelers Championship.
Harman already has an outright win under his belt in 2025 at the Valero Texas Open. He’s currently in a slump after a strong April but ranks 41st driving accuracy and 38th hole proximity. It’s this combination that allows Harman to overcome a shaky putter.
At $8.7K on FanDuel, Harman is set to return massive value at one of his best courses.
Harry Hall: $8,100
We’ll wrap up with Harry Hall at just over an $8,000 salary. The Englishman didn’t play at the U.S. Open, so he’ll have extra rest heading into a course that allows golfers to sink birdies in a variety of ways.
Hall has logged three top 20 finishes in his past four events played, bouncing between 64 and 94 fantasy points. He’s got three top 10 finishes in 2025. Now, he’ll return to TPC River Highlands for the second time in his career, looking to improve from a 56th place finish in 2023.
Hall is ranked 14th total strokes gained. This includes second SG: Putting, 17th scrambling, 21st sand save percentage and second in putting average. He’s red hot with the putter this year, ranked first in putts per round and one-putt percentage. This has led to Hall ranking third in scoring average and birdie average, while also third on par 4s.
Prioritize Hall in FanDuel DFS lineups at this cheap salary entering the Travelers Championship.
