In devy fantasy football leagues, staying ahead of the curve is everything, and that means identifying NFL talent before the breakout happens. Waiting until a player is a household name comes at a premium, so now is the time to plant your flag on prospects with elite upside at a potential discount.
The draft targets below include several 2026-eligible quarterbacks with legitimate first-round potential, along with a few skill-position players flying under the radar due to injuries or depth chart uncertainty.

Devy Fantasy Football Draft Targets
2026 Quarterbacks
Getting a potential first-round quarterback in your devy draft now is much cheaper than paying up after they have been drafted into the NFL. I’m targeting three guys at this point: Arch Manning, Garrett Nussmeier and Drew Allar.
For Allar, we’re simply buying the dip at this point and hoping we see improvement in his decision-making this season. He has all the physical tools you’re looking for at the next level with the potential to experience a Cam Ward-like rise in his final season in Happy Valley.
Nussmeier had a great season with over 4,000 yards and a completion rate over 60%. He is your traditional pocket passer and doesn’t bring much to the table on the ground, but he can be deadly accurate.
That brings us to Arch Manning. We are targeting him for the obvious reasons, as he is the odds-on favorite to be the first quarterback off the board in April and the first overall pick. As long as he doesn’t self-destruct, his value is as insulated as anyone you can draft at quarterback heading into the season.
CJ Baxter (RB – Texas) – 2026
We’re trying to buy low on CJ Baxter with an injury discount from his season-ending knee injury. Before his injury, he was at the top of my devy running back rankings. If he’s able to return to the same level of play before his injury and take over as the No. 1 RB in Steve Sarkisian’s offense, he will shoot up the rankings in no time, along with his value. Even if you are cautious of the knee injury, he is a great buy-low candidate now, and potentially a sell-high option later.
Nicholas Singleton (RB – Penn State) – 2026
Nicholas Singleton surprisingly returned to Happy Valley for his senior season. There’s no question he possesses elite physical tools. We’ve also seen improvements each season. Singleton has a high floor and high ceiling as a potential NFL back that can benefit your fantasy roster.
Jordyn Tyson (WR – Arizona State) – 2026
After not playing in 2023, Jordyn Tyson exploded onto devy radars last season in Tempe with 75 receptions for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games. Unfortunately, he did not play in the Big 12 title game against Iowa State or the College Football Playoff (CFP) quarter-final against Texas due to a fractured collarbone suffered against rival Arizona.
Tyson is a three-level receiver who can make plays anywhere on the field and create with the ball in his hands. I believe that by draft time next April, he will be the WR1 in this class.
Cam Coleman (WR – Auburn) – 2027
We all know about Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams by now, but let’s not overlook Cam Coleman out of Auburn. He ended his freshman season on a tear, putting up seven receptions, 128 yards and two touchdowns against Texas A&M. In the Iron Bowl, he outperformed Williams, snagging seven catches for 78 yards and one touchdown.
