The 2025 NFL preseason is underway, meaning we’ve officially hit the start of redraft fantasy football season. Therefore, it’s time to do all the preparation fantasy players ignored over the past few months. Many factors go into fantasy players winning their redraft league every year. However, the top factor is drafting players at a value.
Let’s look at six of my favorite draft values based on CBS ADP for redraft leagues.

Best Fantasy Football Draft Values: CBS Leagues
Drake Maye (NE) – ADP 143.39 | QB19
Despite a lack of weapons and an awful offensive line, Maye had an impressive rookie season. The rookie averaged 14.9 fantasy points per game in the 11 contests where he played over 32% of snaps. Maye would have finished as the QB17 over a 17-game pace with the 14.9 fantasy points per game average. Yet, he should be significantly better this year. The Patriots signed Stefon Diggs in free agency and drafted Will Campbell, TreVeyon Henderson, and Kyle Williams. Don’t be surprised if Maye is a top-10 quarterback this season.
David Montgomery (DET) – ADP 58.88 | RB24
Montgomery has always been an underrated fantasy running back. He was the RB12 over the first 15 weeks last year, averaging 15.8 touches and 15.8 PPR fantasy points per game before suffering a knee injury. By comparison, Jahmyr Gibbs averaged 16.1 touches and 18.9 fantasy points per game playing alongside Montgomery. The veteran lacks spike week upside and should lose some touches to Gibbs this season. Yet, there is no reason to think Montgomery won’t remain Detroit’s goal-line runner and score double-digit touchdowns for the third consecutive year in 2025.
Jordan Mason (MIN) – ADP 111.46 | RB40
Last year, Mason finished as the RB41, averaging 9.6 PPR fantasy points per game. However, he was outstanding early in the season, filling in for Christian McCaffrey, ranking as the RB5 over the first month, averaging 18.6 fantasy points per game, totaling 17.4 or more in all but one contest. More importantly, Mason could steal the lead role from Aaron Jones. According to Fantasy Points Data, Mason had a better explosive run rate (7.8% vs. 3.5%) and missed forced tackle per attempt rate (22% vs. 11%) than Jones last year.
Tetairoa McMillan (CAR) – ADP 67.92 | WR28
While Carolina won’t have an elite passing offense, expect Bryce Young to make McMillan a weekly starting fantasy receiver. The rookie has shined during training camp. Meanwhile, he was one of the top pass catchers in college football last year, ranking sixth in yards per route run (2.87), second in missed tackles forced (29), and fourth in contested catches (18) among 42 wide receivers with at least 100 targets (per PFF). More importantly, no one on the team will keep McMillan from seeing at least 125 targets as a rookie.
Stefon Diggs (NE) – ADP 90.81 | WR41
Unfortunately, Diggs suffered a torn ACL last season. However, the veteran was playing well before getting hurt, ranking as the WR6 over the first seven weeks, averaging 7.9 targets and 15.6 PPR fantasy points per game despite splitting targets with Nico Collins and Tank Dell. More importantly, he is the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver in what will be a significantly improved Patriots’ passing attack. Diggs should end the year no lower than a high-end WR3 after avoiding the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP) to start training camp.
Evan Engram (DEN) – ADP 106.73 | TE9
Engram was the TE32 last year, averaging 9.9 PPR fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, the veteran tight end missed eight games with multiple injuries. Furthermore, he played on a dysfunctional Jacksonville Jaguars offense. Thankfully, Engram landed with the Broncos in free agency, giving him a clear pathway as the No. 2 option in the passing attack behind Courtland Sutton. Don’t be surprised if he has a bounce-back season with Sean Payton on the sidelines. Therefore, Engram shouldn’t get drafted after Mark Andrews and barely ahead of Jonnu Smith.
