As we near the football season I sure we have all read over dozens of 10-team and 12-team mock drafts. And while that is fun, it can get a bit repetitive. So how about we switch things up a bit and dive into a fantasy football mock draft for the nerds and true die-hards of the sport? Here are some of my favorite late-round picks from a recent 14-team fantasy football mock draft.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Late-Round Picks to Target
Mark Andrews (TE – BAL)
Realizing I still didn’t have a starting TE and having Mark Andrews fall this fair was a perfect storm.
Andrews ADP has been anywhere to the late 80’s to 100, and we were able to draft him 120th overall, thats pretty good value in my opinion.
Andrews has the path to be a top 5 fantasy tight end once again. He finished last year as TE7 despite getting off to a slow start.
All the hype is on Isaiah Likely, and for good reason, but let’s not forget about Andrews just yet. Buy the dip on #89 in all formats.
Emeka Egbuka (WR – TB)
I personally think Egbuka was the best WR in this year’s draft class and has landed in a perfect spot with the Buccaneers.
Mike Evans isn’t getting any younger and Chris Godwin is coming off a horrific ankle injury. If any of those guys miss time, Egbuka is inserted into a primetime spot.
Other WRs on the board were Josh Downs, Hollywood Brown, and Darnell Mooney.
Mooney and Downs would be the others I’d consider since they will have pretty big roles in their respective offenses, but if Evans or Godwin, Egbuka could be a top-10 WR.
Will Shipley (RB – PHI)
With our league being a deeper league with 24 teams, we are at a point where we are digging deep on the depth charts and looking for guys with big time upside or handcuffs.
Will Shipley can fit both of those filters. If something happened to Saquon Barkey, Will Shpley becomes the hottest waive wire target of the season.
Colston Loveland (TE – CHI)
This could be the steal of the draft. Chicago used a first round pick on the former Wolverine and could be inserted in the starting TE spot right away. Ben Johnson loves utilizing his TE’s, which we saw how great Sam LaPorta became in Detroit.
Loveland could be used in the same way LaPorta was in that prolific Lions offense.
Tahj Brooks (RB – CIN)
Again, using these late round picks to handcuff some of the top RBs in the league and with us having Chase Brown, taking Brooks here makes a lot of sense.
