Fantasy Football Injuries to Know for Week 3

Tucker Kraft (TE – GB)

Tucker Kraft (knee) sustained an injury in practice on Thursday.

Tucker Kraft suffered a knee injury in Thursday’s practice. The emerging star tight end was unable to finish practice, but the team does not believe this will be a long-term injury. With that said, it feels unlikely he’ll suit up in Week 3 against the Browns.

Ladd McConkey (WR – LAC)

Ladd McConkey (arm) was back at practice on Thursday.

Ladd McConkey returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday with a bicep injury. The fact that he was able to get back to practice bodes well for his chances of suiting up in a key divisional matchup versus the Broncos in Week 3.

Brock Purdy (QB – SF)

Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) returned to practice on Thursday.

It was surprising to see Brock Purdy back at practice on Thursday, as his injury was expected to keep him out for a few weeks. With that said, the team still expects him to miss Week 3, but a quick return to practice bodes well for a Week 4 return.

Tyler Warren (TE – IND)

Tyler Warren (toe) was limited in practice on Thursday.

It’s a great sign to see Tyler Warren return to practice on Thursday, especially since he missed practice on Wednesday. Look for the stud rookie tight end to suit up against the Titans. You can start Warren with confidence, as he has immediately emerged as a key component of the Colts’ passing game.

Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL)

Isaiah Likely (foot) was limited in practice on Thursday.

Isaiah Likely has missed the first two games of the year, so to see him back at practice on Thursday is an encouraging sign. There’s an outside chance that Likely returns in Week 3, but Week 4 looks like the more likely target date. That’s bad news for a struggling Mark Andrews.

Christian Kirk (WR – HOU)

Christian Kirk (hamstring) was limited in practice on Thursday.

As expected, Christian Kirk has returned to practice and is ready to be back in the lineup for the Texans. This offense definitely missed having a dependable underneath target like Kirk, so there’s a good chance for them to get right against the Jaguars in Week 3.

Josh Jacobs (RB – GB)

Josh Jacobs (ankle) recorded a limited practice session on Thursday.

Josh Jacobs is banged up with an ankle injury, which has caused him to be limited in practice. While there’s no concern that Jacobs will miss Week 3 against the Browns, you have to temper your expectations against this elite Browns run defense.

Kyle Pitts (TE – ATL)

Kyle Pitts (toe) was limited in practice on Thursday.

Kyle Pitts is a new addition to the Falcons’ injury report, as he’s currently nursing a toe injury. While there’s no concern that he’ll miss Week 3 against the Panthers, keep this injury in mind when deciding whether to start Pitts.
