Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report: Rankings, Updates & Stashes

Hey, friends. Welcome to my weekly fantasy baseball prospect report. The goal of this column is to give you the most fantasy-relevant prospect information throughout the two weeks, all in one place.

The format of this weekly prospect report will be by level, and we will go through players in order of their placement in my prospect rankings.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report

I won’t hit on every prospect every week, but will focus on the most relevant prospects throughout the week and will follow up with other notable players. This article will not focus on any AAAA-type players or veterans in the Minors who have outlived their prospect status.

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched at the Major League level. All stats are up-to-date as of Sunday, September 7th.

Full Top 150 Prospect Rankings:

AAA Hitters

Gabriel Rincones Jr. (OF – PHI)

  • Season: .242/.368/.440 | 15.5 BB% / 22.6 K% | 36 XBH, 18 HR, 17 SB
  • This Week: 15/33 | 6 XBH, 5 HR, 3 SB
  • Notes: Gabriel Rincones Jr. had a big week that could lead to a 20/20 season. I see him as a potential fourth outfielder; he has below-average contact skills, but he has a solid quality of contact and some great power with a 116.4 max exit velocity on the season.

Zach Cole (OF – HOU)

  • Season: .278/.372/.547 | 11.9 BB% / 35.7 K% | 47 XBH, 19 HR, 15 SB
  • This Week: 14/39 | 9 XBH, 5 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Zach Cole is like every Astros project — good power, some speed, but a ton of swing and miss.

Kristian Robinson (OF – ARI)

  • Season: .252/.368/.454 | 14.8 BB% / 28.4 K% | 39 XBH, 16 HR, 29 SB
  • This Week: 11/30 | 8 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Kristian Robinson is having a decent bounce-back season after returning from his off-field troubles. He’s 24 years old now, but he’s not too old to come back.

AAA Pitchers

Robby Snelling (SP – MIA)

  • 2025 Season: 125 IP | 23.1 K-BB%, 13.5 SwStr%, 31.4 CSW% | 2.66 ERA, 1.14 WHIP
  • This Week: 13 IP | 16 Ks, 3 BBs | 2.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP
  • Notes: Robby Snelling has been fantastic all season. He is one of the best pitchers in the Minors, but is not a top-30 prospect.

Connelly Early (SP – BOS)

  • 2025 Season: 100 1/3 IP | 22.2 K-BB%, 14.3 SwStr%, 31.8 CSW% | 2.60 ERA, 1.11 WHIP
  • This Week: 11 IP | 16 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.82 ERA, 0.64 WHIP
  • Notes: Connelly Early finished right outside of my top 150 overall rankings and has been great, but he lacks an elite pitch in his arsenal.

JR Ritchie (SP – ATL)

  • 2025 Season: 122 2/3 IP | 16 K-BB%, 11.7 SwStr%, 27.3 CSW% | 2.64 ERA, 0.98 WHIP
  • This Week: 11 IP | 18 Ks, 5 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.73 WHIP
  • Notes: JR Ritchie has been a big riser this year and is also just outside of my top 150 prospects, as the per-pitch metrics have not been as great as the actual stat line, thanks to him being a fantastic command guy.

AA Hitters

Konnor Griffin (OF – PIT)

  • Season: .330/.415/.524 | 9.1 BB% / 21.4 K% | 47 XBH, 20 HR, 65 SB
  • This Week: 12/36 | 5 XBH, 4 HR, 3 SB
  • Notes: Konnor Griffin has not even let AA hold him back. What a ridiculous season.

Carson Roccaforte (OF – KC)

  • Season: .264/.380/.478 | 15.4 BB% / 28.5 K% | 52 XBH, 17 HR, 41 SB
  • This Week: 17/46 | 9 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Carson Roccaforte is a bit older for the level and has a subpar hit tool, but he’s an interesting prospect who could be a nice player if he can control the strikeouts.

Gavin Cross (OF – KC)

  • Season: .240/.293/.421 | 7 BB% / 24.8 K% | 41 XBH, 17 HR, 20 SB
  • This Week: 18/49 | 11 XBH, 4 HR, 5 SB
  • Notes: Carson Roccaforte isn’t the only Royals outfielder at AA killing it right now. Gavin Cross looks like he could be the Royals’ version of Jakob Marsee.

Kala’i Rosario (OF – MIN)

  • Season: .259/.360/.500 | 12.9 BB% / 27.5 K% | 57 XBH, 25 HR, 26 SB
  • This Week: 14/46 | 8 XBH, 5 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Kala’i Rosario has a subpar hit tool as well, which could become an average hit tool with a nice power/speed combo.

Esmerlyn Valdez (1B – PIT)

  • Season: .291/.379/.535 | 10.9 BB% / 24.8 K% | 43 XBH, 26 HR, 3 SB
  • This Week: 16/41 | 7 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Esmerlyn Valdez slowed down a bit power-wise at AA, but keep in mind he’s playing in the Southern League.

Jacob Reimer (3B – NYM)

  • Season: .282/.381/.505 | 11.2 BB% / 20.9 K% | 54 XBH, 17 HR, 15 SB
  • This Week: 13/33 | 8 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Jacob Reimer has been excellent this season and is right outside of the top 150. He’s a future solid regular, but not a stud in the making.

Nick Cimillo (C – PIT)

  • Season: .241/.325/.484 | 10.1 BB% / 21.1 K% | 47 XBH, 20 HR, 5 SB
  • This Week: 16/44 | 10 XBH, 5 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Nick Cimillo is one of the more underrated catching prospects in baseball, with an excellent power showing on the season, especially in AA.

AA Pitchers

Mitch Bratt (SP – ARI)

  • 2025 Season: 117 IP | 25.4 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr%, 31.7 CSW% | 3.23 ERA, 1.16 WHIP
  • This Week: 12 IP | 16 Ks, 2 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
  • Notes: Mitch Bratt came over to the Diamondbacks at the trade deadline and has not missed a beat, showing excellent command despite not having an elite arsenal. That helps him play up as an eventual back-of-the-rotation starter.

Brycen Mautz (SP – STL)

  • 2025 Season: 103 2/3 IP | 20.4 K-BB%, 12.3 SwStr%, 28.7 CSW% | 3.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP
  • This Week: 10 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 1.03 WHIP
  • Notes: Brycen Mautz has refined his arsenal despite playing in a pitcher’s park. It’s still debatable if he will make it as a Major League starter, but the arm action is funky enough that he should, at a minimum, be a solid bullpen arm in the Majors.

T.J. Nichols (SP – TB)

  • 2025 Season: 128 2/3 IP | 24.7 K-BB%, 13.7 SwStr%, 31.5 CSW% | 3.01 ERA, 1.03 WHIP
  • This Week: 14 IP | 17 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.64 ERA, 0.57 WHIP
  • Notes: T.J. Nichols has been one of the better pitchers in baseball this year, which is why he made my updated top 150 rankings as a command-first, bulk innings starter with great extension and a couple of borderline plus pitches.

Ben Hess (Yankees)

  • 2025 Season: 97 1/3 IP | 22.3 K-BB%, 13.7 SwStr%, 32.4 CSW% | 3.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP
  • This Week: 10 2/3 IP | 15 Ks, 3 BBs | 3.37 ERA, 0.94 WHIP
  • Notes: Ben Hess is another workhorse with a big build and a big fastball.

A+ Hitters

Kendall George (OF – LAD)

  • Season: .295/.409/.370 | 9.8 BB% / 22 K% | 19 XBH, 3 HR, 101 SB
  • This Week: 17/36 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 18 SB
  • Notes: Hitters with a higher on-base percentage (OBP) than slugging rates always concern me, but Kendall George’s stolen bases total at this point is ridiculous.

Deniel Ortiz (3B – STL)

  • Season: .300/.418/.466 | 14.9 BB% / 26.2 K% | 24 XBH, 13 HR, 38 SB
  • This Week: 15/34 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 4 SB
  • Notes: I had the pleasure of watching Deniel Ortiz quite a bit this year, and the power is for real. He does have some hit tool concerns, though, but he’s an underrated performer where the hit tool looks subpar, but the angles are excellent.

Nate Furman (2B – SF)

  • Season: .375/.508/.646 | 17.9 BB% / 8.1 K% | 12 XBH, 7 HR, 3 SB (29 games)
  • This Week: 15/32 | 7 XBH, 5 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Nate Furman missed the beginning of the year with a right shoulder strain and was traded from Cleveland to San Francisco, where he has been insane since.

A+ Pitchers

Gary Gill Hill (SP – TB)

  • 2025 Season: 136 2/3 IP | 13.5 K-BB%, 9.9 SwStr%, 26.6 CSW% | 3.82 ERA, 1.16 WHIP
  • This Week: 12 IP | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.75 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
  • Notes: Gary Gill Hill pitched a tremendous amount of innings this year, and while he’s a known name in prospect circles, his shine has seemed to come off a bit since last year.

Austin Cates (SP – TOR)

  • 2025 Season: 103 2/3 IP | 17.9 K-BB%, 12.3 SwStr%, 28.9 CSW% | 2.21 ERA, 1.08 WHIP
  • This Week: 12 IP | 17 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP
  • Notes: Austin Cates has had a very underrated season that’s been a bit overshadowed since the strikeouts are only, not great.

Fantasy Baseball Trade Chart

A Hitters

Raudi Rodriguez (OF – LAA)

  • Season: .283/.375/.576 | 11.3 BB% / 22.9 K% | 49 XBH, 14 HR, 36 SB
  • This Week: 17/41 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 4 SB
  • Notes: Raudi Rodriguez has made this list a couple of times this season, though he is old for the level at 22 years old.

Dax Kilby (SS – NYY)

  • Season: .354/.447/.446 | 14.5 BB% / 13.2 K% | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 14 SB
  • This Week: 13/31 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 8 SB
  • Notes: Dax Kilby was the Yankees’ first-round pick, and he is already off to a hot — much better than expected start to his career for the prep shortstop.

Alfredo Duno (C – CIN)

  • Season: .286/.428/.510 | 18.9 BB% / 18.3 K% | 51 XBH, 17 HR, 6 SB
  • This Week: 10/31 | 6 XBH, 4 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: I saw Alfredo Duno hit a bomb off Liam Doyle this week. He’s a stud, and I’m not sure why he’s been in Single-A ball all year.

A Pitchers

Yhoiker Fajardo (SP – BOS)

  • 2025 Season: 69 IP | 19.8 K-BB%, 15 SwStr%, 32.5 CSW% | 2.09 ERA, 1.06 WHIP
  • This Week: 13 IP | 21 Ks, 8 BBs | 2.08 ERA, 1.23 WHIP
  • Notes: Yhoiker Fajardo had a rougher start recently, but he’s shown to have some excellent stuff with a breakout in the second half of 2025.
