Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Lineup Advice: Week 4 (2025)

Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Lineup Advice: Week 4 (2025)

Week 3 of the NFL season had its ups and downs. We saw some big plays on both sides of the ball, but the injury monster wreaked havoc across the league again. Week 4 is here, and Thursday Night Football was more competitive than expected, at least to close out the game, with the Seattle Seahawks claiming the victory. Looking ahead to this weekend, we will take a look at five players fantasy managers should do their best to plug into their lineups and five others who are better left on benches despite promising upside. Let’s dig in.

NFL Prop Bet Cheat Sheet

Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Week 4

Start em

Tyrel Dodson (LB – MIA)
Dodson went off in Week 3, tallying 11 solos, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended. Dodson has had a stellar start to the season and is now tied for the NFL lead with 23 solo tackles through three contests. He has recorded at least six solos in each. The LB2 through three weeks of action, it’s time to take Dodson seriously as an LB1 option, at least for as long as he is cooking. Tap Dodson as an easy LB1 for a plus matchup against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

Robert Spillane (LB – NE)
Robert Spillane went off in Week 3, tallying 10 solos, five assists, one tackle for loss, one interception, and one pass defended. Spillane was struggling in the solo department with New England, so this burst of production helps renew confidence in him going forward. It is still probably better to temper expectations for the season overall, but a tasty Week 4 opponent puts him back in the LB1 mix as a near must-start. Fire Spillane up as a top-15 option for Week 4, thanks to a plus matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Rashan Gary (DE/LB – GB)
Rashan Gary has been downright impressive through three contests, most recently racking up three solos, two sacks, and two tackles for loss. Rashan leads the NFL with 4.5 sacks and is going to continue to feast with Micah Parsons demanding attention on the other side. Gary is riding a three game sack streak and appears destined to set a new career high in sacks this season. Rashan needs to be counted as a DL1 option, at least until he cools down. Treat him as such for a plus Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Al-Quadin Muhammad (DE – DET)
AQM went bonkers on Monday Night Football, harassing the Ravens offense to the tune of three solos, one assist, 2.5 sacks, and two tackles for loss. Al-Quadin has tallied 3.5 sacks in his last two games and is enjoying an expanded role with Marcus Davenport hitting IR. He turned some heads on Monday night and could be poised for a breakout season across from Aidan Hutchinson. Muhammad has a tasty matchup against the Cleveland Browns on deck for Week 4 and should be treated as a DL3 with DL2 upside.

Brandon Jones (S – DEN)
Brandon Jones was excellent in Week 3, tallying six solos, five assists, one interception, and one pass defended. Jones disappointed with his solo count through the first two weeks of the season, but stayed in the DB2 conversation thanks to his contribution in the peripheral categories. It does not look like he will become a steady DB1 option like some had hoped, but he remains an elite DB2 option, especially given plus matchups like he has in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Sit em

Devin Lloyd (LB – JAC)
Lloyd was excellent in Week 3, racking up four solos, two assists, one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery. Lloyd has been a disappointment for IDP managers, managing just six solos total in three weeks of action. He has salvaged some fantasy value thanks to contributions in the peripheral stat columns, as he has a pick, a fumble recovery, and a tackle for loss over his past two contests. With that being said, chasing peripheral stats is not suggested at linebacker, more so than any other position. Keep Lloyd on benches until he starts to provide consistent production.

Alex Singleton (LB – DEN)
Alex Singleton showed up in Week 3, tallying four solos and eight assists. It is a step in the right direction for Singleton, but he has been a massive disappointment after being drafted as an LB1 this offseason. With that said, Spillane going off in Week 3 helped remind us not to sit our studs, but there is nothing wrong with temporarily downgrading them and plugging them into lineups (or not), accordingly. Singleton has failed to top four solos in any contest this season, and his only peripheral contribution thus far was a pass defended back in Week 1. He had six total solos coming into this contest, so we are not prepared to move him out of the LB3 realm prior to the byes. Start where possible as LB3 with LB2 upside for a tasty matchup against Cincinnati, but look elsewhere if you need LB1 or LB2 help.

Yaya Diaby (DE/LB – TB)
Diaby was excellent in Week 2, notching two solos, two assists, one sack, and two tackles for loss. The sack was his first of the season despite Yaya playing over 70 percent of the snaps each week. There will be more spike weeks for Diaby, but he remains more DL3/4 than DL2/3. Treat him as such despite a plus Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Chaz Chambliss (DE/LB – MIN)
Chambliss showed up in Week 3, racking up three solos, one assist, one sack, and one tackle for loss. Chaz does not see many snaps for the Vikings, seeing a season high 28 percent in Week 3. He could have earned a bigger role with his performance, but we will need to see it to believe it. Chaz is a decent deep league roster stash, but should not be sniffing any starting lineups for Week 4, despite the plus matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Chau Smith-Wade (CB – CAR)
Chau was excellent in Week 3, tallying five solos, one interception, one pass defended, and one touchdown. Chau was not much of a fantasy factor for the first two weeks of the season, but he is playing the nickel role for Carolina, so there is some upside here. Add him as a roster stash in deeper leagues, while those in shallower formats are advised to add him to watchlists. Chau does not belong in Week 4 lineups.
