Renegade Fantasy Football: Week 4 Targets

Cam Skattebo (RB – NYG)

Cam Skattebo has arrived. Skattebo had his coming out party on Sunday Night Football, racking up 60 rushing yards and a score on the ground and six receptions for 61 receiving yards through the air. The rookie running back appears poised for a heavy workload in the coming weeks now that Tyrone Tracy has been ruled out for the next two to four weeks with a shoulder injury. Devin Singletary should see snaps as well, but it is expected to be the Skattebo show as long as he is cooking like he did against Kansas City when he ripped off three runs of 10-plus yards and averaged six yards per carry. The Giants project to put Skattebo’s everydown skillset to full use on Sunday, regardless of gamescript, especially with Jaxson Dart making his first start. The tough on paper matchup could have rival managers shying away from Skattebo in the middle rounds, so don’t miss the opportunity to jump on what could be a high volume afternoon for the rookie. Target Skattebo, where possible, for Week 4 at Renegade Fantasy.

Quinshon Judkins (RB – CLE)

Judkins looked the part once again in Week 3, tallying 94 rushing yards and a score on the ground at 5.2 yards per clip. Judkins received 58 percent of the snaps in Week 3, indicating a lead back role in a committee, but he saw 95 percent of the running back rushing attempts and 38 percent of the running back routes. Quinshon, despite missing Week 1, leads all rookie running backs with 56 rushing yards over expected and has also been the top rookie runner by the ‘eye test’. Playing on Cleveland offers fantasy managers some exploitable value, as Judkins is likely to last longer than he should in most draft rooms simply because he plays on a team that is likely to be dealing with negative gamescript more often than not, including in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions. Draft Judkins for Week 4 at Renegade Fantasy wherever possible.

Keenan Allen (WR – LAC)

Keenan Allen has been quite the story in Los Angeles. Left on the scrap heap by many after a down season by his standards with the struggling Caleb Williams in Chicago, Keenan reunited with his former quarterback and picked up right where they left off, despite a different coaching staff and offense. Keenan Allen stepped right back in as Justin Herbert’s number one receiver, averaging 9.3 targets per game for a total of 28 over three contests, good for seventh in the league. He leads the team with a very healthy 26.4 percent target share and has rewarded Herbert for his confidence in the savvy route runner. Through three games, Keenan is the only player in the league with at least 60 receiving yards and a touchdown in every contest. With that said, there are still many, including those in Renegade Fantasy draft rooms, who still view Ladd McConkey as the number one receiver on the Chargers. This leads to Allen being drafted much later than a top-eight fantasy receiver should. Target Keenan Allen in the mid to late rounds of your Renegade Fantasy drafts.
