Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Lineup Advice: Week 7 (2025)

Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Lineup Advice: Week 7 (2025)

Week 6 of the NFL season had its ups and downs. We saw some big plays on both sides of the ball, but the injury monster continued to run amuck. Week 7 is here, Thursday Night Football messed around again and gave us more lemonade as the Cincinnati Bengals upset the division-leading Pittsburgh Steelers. Looking ahead to this weekend, we will take a look at five players fantasy managers should do their best to plug into their lineups and five others who are better left on benches despite promising upside. Let’s dig in.

Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Week 7

Start em

Cedric Gray (LB – TEN)
Cedric Gray was at it again in Week 6, tallying three solos, nine assists, and two passes defended. This was the third strong week in a row for Gray, who has seemed to settle in as an LB2 option for IDP purposes. He has a plus matchup Week 7 against New England, and should be started with confidence everywhere. Start Gray in leagues of all sizes.

Alex Anzalone (LB – DET)
Anzalone showed up again in Week 6, reeling off seven solos and five assists. The solo count is a welcome sign as the Lions’ linebacker had just seven total solos in previous three games combined. He remains a low-floor option with three games with two or fewer solos under his belt, but you can’t argue with his recent production. Ride with Anzalone as an LB3/4 and start him while he’s hot. Tap him as an LB3 option for a plus Week 7 matchup against an injury-ravaged Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense.

Coby Bryant (S – SEA)
Bryant was excellent in Week 6, tallying five solos, two assists, and one tackle for loss. Coby has recorded five or more solos in each of his last two games and in three of his five games overall. Tap Bryant as a DB3 with DB2 upside for a plus Week 7 matchup against the Houston Texans. Start Coby wherever possible.

Byron Murphy (DT – SEA)
Murphy showed up in Week 6, racking up one solo, three assists, two sacks, and one tackle for loss. Murphy is up to 3.5 sacks on the season, with at least one sack in three of his last five games. Treat Murphy as a DT1/DL3 option for a plus Week 7 matchup against the Houston Texans.

Kwity Paye (DE – IND)
Kwity showed up in Week 6, reeling off three solos, four assists, two sacks, and two tackles for loss. Paye has been a boom or bust proposition this season, with all three of his sacks coming in two of his six contests. Paye played his highest snap share since Week 2 at 58 percent and is a strong DL3 option for Week 7, thanks to a plus matchup against a Los Angeles Chargers team missing both of its starting offensive tackles. Start Kwity where needed.

Sit em

Tyrice Knight (LB – SEA)
Tyrice played just three percent of the snaps in Week 6, seemingly finally losing his grip on the starting job to Drake Thomas. Thomas’ role had been growing in recent weeks, so the writing was on the wall for Knight, who had become an increasing liability in coverage. It is worth stashing Tyrice through the deadline, but those in shallower formats should cut bait altogether. Fantasy managers need to look elsewhere for their Week 7 LB3.

Eric Wilson (LB – MIN)
Blake Cashman was able to log full practices on Wednesday and Thursday, and will likely do so again on Friday, which means he should be good to start for Week 7 against Philadelphia. This means Eric Wilson, who has been a strong fantasy option when Cashman was sidelined, will likely go back to a reserve role behind Blake and Ivan Pace. Wilson played just 37 percent of the snaps in Week 1 and will likely be lower than that mark again if Cashman is activated before the game, as expected (Blake’s hurt in Week 1 and played just 64 percent of the snaps. Look elsewhere for your Week 7 LB3.

K.J. Britt (LB – TB)
Britt was excellent in Week 6, racking up six solos and seven assists. He saw starters’ snaps in Week 6 with Tyrel Dodson (concussion) sidelined and would have likely gotten another start if Dodson missed another contest. However, with Dodson returning to a full practice on Thursday, he is trending in the right direction towards being cleared from the league’s concussion protocol, or they would never have let him practice, especially a full session on a Thursday. Britt has been relegated mostly due to special teams, with Tyrel healthy. Look elsewhere for Week 7, despite the plus matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Marist Liufau (LB – DAL)
Marist showed up in Week 6, tallying four solos, one sack, and one tackle for loss, on a season high 40 percent of the snaps. Liufau is good for a splash play here or there, but is not yet fantasy relevant despite the strong Week 6. Keep him benched and look elsewhere for your Week 7 LB3/4.

Yaya Diaby (DE/LB – TB)
Yaya was excellent in Week 6, racking up three solos, two sacks, and two tackles for loss. Diaby is up to three sacks on the season, but is not yet an option for those in 12-team leagues. He can be viewed as a DL4 option for those in 16+ team leagues, but those in standard-sized leagues should look elsewhere for their Week 7 DL3.
