Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Cam Skattebo

Week 7 is here, and your fantasy football roster probably looks like a garage sale — some pieces you’re thrilled to have, others you’re desperately trying to unload, and at least one item you’re not sure why you ever thought was a good idea. The good news? There’s still time to flip that clutter into championship-caliber value. Our Featured Pros have assembled their top buy-low and sell-high recommendations to help you make the most of the trade window. Whether you’re eyeing a struggling star about to rebound or cashing out on a player playing over their head, these are the moves that can turn your season around.

Players to Buy Low & Sell High in Week 7

Buy Low

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB – WAS)

“Any team looking for running back help headed into Week 7 should be looking at Jacory Croskey-Merritt. It wasn’t amazing this week for him against a Bears defense he really should have taken advantage of, but the signs are there that it is full go for Croskey-Merritt. Those who wanted to see the usage continue after his Week 5 breakout, well, you got it. Croskey-Merritt gathered 17 carries, with Jeremy McNichols being the only other running back to register any carries for Washington (two). On top of that, the Commanders face a Cowboys defense next that, quite frankly, can’t stop a nose bleed. If D’Andre Swift, who scored in the Bears’ win over Washington, or either Seattle back through name value can be used to acquire Croskey-Merritt, do it.”

Sell High

Cam Skattebo (RB – NYG)

Cam Skattebo has played well since Tyrone Tracy Jr. suffered a shoulder injury in Week 3, averaging 17.3 rushing attempts for 74 yards, a touchdown and 20.6 PPR fantasy points per game. The rookie had a three-touchdown performance on Thursday night that likely won many fantasy players their Week 6 matchup. While fantasy players shouldn’t force a trade, they should explore sell-high trade offers for the former Arizona State star. Skattebo has averaged 4.29 yards per rushing attempt over the past month, including 3.96 before the Week 6 matchup. Furthermore, Tracy only played 32% of the snaps last week, coming off the injury, getting only four touches. He should see more work the further he gets past the injury. As crazy as it might sound, I would happily trade away Skattebo to land Saquon Barkley or Bucky Irving.”
Mike Fanelli (FantasyPros)

“I’m shopping who? Cam Skattebo, that’s who. I love what he’s done for the Giants, but after that three-touchdown game against Philly, his value has never been higher. He’s got a trip to Denver next, where teams average just 89 rushing yards per game. After that comes a rematch in Philly, likely against Jalen Carter. The Giants also face Green Bay and Detroit, both top-eight defenses in fewest fantasy points allowed to running backs. I’d trade Skattebo for Quinshon Judkins, or even Isiah Pacheco, whose schedule looks glorious. You could even get an extra piece on top.”
