NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer
NBA DFS Core Plays
- DraftKings: $9,900
- FanDuel: $9,800
Cade Cunningham is coming off a monster performance, posting 30 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and three steals. It’s hard to overlook him on a slate that lacks a clear-cut No. 1 option. He’s consistently shown the elite upside needed to anchor lineups, and the Dallas Mavericks are dealing with several key injuries that could soften their defense.
There’s also a strong narrative angle here. Cunningham is from Arlington and has historically elevated his play against Dallas, averaging 33.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists over his last five matchups against the Mavericks. He’s in a great spot to keep rolling and offers one of the highest ceilings on the board tonight.
- DraftKings: $8,900
- FanDuel: $8,800
Paolo Banchero is in a terrific spot tonight against the Washington Wizards. Washington plays at the fourth-fastest pace and owns the third-worst defensive rating in the league, which bodes well for Banchero, who leads the Orlando Magic with a 27% usage rate.
At his current price point, it’s also hard to ignore the consistency — he’s recorded at least 42 FanDuel points in five out of six games this season. The only real concern is the potential for a blowout, as the Wizards are 1-4 with three of those losses coming by at least 10 points.
Still, if the game stays competitive long enough, Banchero has a strong chance to deliver one of the top fantasy performances of the night.

NBA DFS Cash Game Targets
- DraftKings: $6,800
- FanDuel: $6,200
With Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) ruled out for tonight’s game, Jalen Duren draws a matchup against a banged-up Dallas Mavericks frontcourt. He should have every opportunity to dominate in the paint, especially given his recent form. Over his last three games, Duren is averaging 17.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 blocks, positioning him as a strong center option.
- DraftKings: $5,900
- FanDuel: $5,600
With all the injuries the Indiana Pacers are dealing with, Jarace Walker has stepped into a much larger role and produced well. Over his last two games, he’s posted a 23.2% usage rate while averaging 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, four assists and 1.5 steals in 31.8 minutes per contest.
He Walker should continue to see plenty of floor time tonight and remains in a strong spot to deliver value against a Golden State Warriors team that ranks middle of the pack in defensive rating.

NBA DFS GPP Targets
- DraftKings: $8,800
- FanDuel: $8,200
On a small slate without many eye-popping point guard options, it’s tough to overlook Steph Curry. While he hasn’t topped 40 FanDuel points in his last three games, he enters tonight with a day of rest and draws a Pacers team dealing with numerous injuries, playing on the second half of a back-to-back and ranking in the top 10 in fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards.
The only real concern is the 10.5-point spread, which brings some blowout risk. But if the game stays competitive long enough, Curry offers one of the highest ceilings at the position on this slate.
- DraftKings: $7,100
- FanDuel: $6,600
Kyshawn George has shown the type of upside he can provide this season. He posted 34 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals on October 24th against the Dallas Mavericks, totaling 63.2 FanDuel points. He’s also recorded at least 42 FanDuel points in two other games this season.
Tonight, George faces the Orlando Magic, who rank 23rd in defensive rating and play at a fast pace. With the highest total on the slate, this matchup sets up well for Wizards players with significant upside, making George an attractive option to target.

NBA DFS Value Plays
- DraftKings: $3,000
- FanDuel: $4,400
With Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) ruled out for tonight’s game, and Daniel Gafford (ankle) questionable, Dwight Powell is in line for heavy minutes once again. In Wednesday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers, Lively and Gafford were both sidelined while Davis was limited to just six minutes. That allowed Powell to step up with 18 points, six rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 29 minutes.
Regardless of Gafford’s status — given he has yet to play this season and would likely be limited if active — the Mavericks’ frontcourt remains extremely thin. Powell should be in a great position to log 30+ minutes and offer strong value.
- DraftKings: $3,300
- FanDuel: $4,000
Brandon Williams logged a season-high 22 minutes in Wednesday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers, producing 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block. He also appears to have surpassed Jaden Hardy in the rotation, as Hardy played just eight minutes in that contest.
Williams profiles as a GPP play for now, but he would immediately become viable in all formats if D’Angelo Russell (knee), who is listed as questionable, is ruled out. Russell has played at least 28 minutes in two of his last three games, which would open the door for Williams to take on a significant role.
